« Our stay was so fun! There was room for everyone and the house is quirky-cool and comfy. We loved walking around the neighbourhood. We saw goats! chickens! Red lizards! Friendly, fluffy doggos. Everything we needed for cooking was available. The beds are cozy and the shower on the bottom floor is the bee's knees. Best. Shower. Ever. »

« This place is amazing. Very secluded and right on the river. Here are some protips - research river conditions beforehand. The Trinity was still experiencing peak run off conditions and was unswimmable and unfishable for the most part. Also, heed the hosts driving instructions that "strongly suggest" accessing the property from Willow Creek. Really, the host should change this to a requirement, not a suggestion. Even accessing from Willow Creek is a bit tricky and not for the faint of heart but...

« Very clean and quiet. It was easy to walk to Arcata and Cal Poly Humboldt. Plenty of shopping and dining with in easy walking distance and located in a nice neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Arcata! »

It was inadequately furnished: needed more silverware and cups; more of a variety of cooking utensils; dish towels and cloths; basic cleaning supplies; 1 or 2 boxes of tissue; a plunger (just in case); games to play; disclosure of no air conditioning; and a warning about the big rig construction vehicles on very rough narrow roads. »

« One of the most adorable VRBO's we've ever rented! We loved the decor, the space was perfect for our family of 4, and it had everything we needed and more! Getting to feed the animals + the delicious eggs (we had eggs every morning) were wonderful bonuses. And location was great to explore the Redwoods. »

« Very clean and beautiful structure. The pictures on the site make you think you will have a river view and maybe even be able to walk out to the river. That is not real. It’s a short hike or a drive to the river. Not a huge deal but we were a bit surprised. The fireplace smokes up the entire home. We turned off the the heat and it still did it. Fireplace is beautiful and heated the room but smoke was everywhere!!! Other than that, I would stay there again! »
