Just minutes from Whiteface and Lake Placid Olympic Village, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Sleeps up to 16\. My home is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). Welcome to High Peaks Rentals. We are proud to offer multiple 4-8 bedroom luxury log homes in the Whiteface and Lake Placid area, with over 1000+ 5 star reviews. We can host multi-family get togethers and and of course quiet "get away from it all" retreats. All our homes have automatic whole-house backup generators, as well as RV Hookups and EV Chargers. Check out all our homes online by searching for "HighPeaksRentals" (com) This spectacular log home is nestled among tall pines on six acres and provides wonderful views of the Sentinel Mountain Range. The amazing views can be enjoyed from the large deck or from inside the home on all three levels through the abundant glass. Bike, walk, hike and cross country ski on the surrounding country side. More extensive activities can be found in the surrounding High Peaks Region. We are only 4 miles from Whiteface Mountain Ski area so you can be on the slopes in minutes. Lake Placid and the Olympic Village are just a 15 mile ride where you can find many shops, restaurants, and activities. There are also plenty of wonderful local restaurants (Keane) and bars (Lake Placid and AuSable Forks). Rivers, lakes, and streams can be found in every direction to enjoy boating, fishing, canoeing, or swimming. Back at the house there is plenty of room to relax with 3000 sq. feet of living space. This pine log home features a great room on the main floor with a fireplace and twenty six foot high ceilings and plenty of glass front to let in the views. Adjacent to the great room is the dining room with plenty of seating, and a kitchen will all top of the line appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware and settings you need. Also located on the main floor are two bedrooms with king beds and a full bathroom. Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with a king size bed and a walkout balcony. There is also a master bath with shower and a deep soaking tub. The second floor also has a loft area with a guest computer and a reclining chair. On the lower level there is a bedroom with a twin bunk/trundle bed and a twin/full trundle bed to sleep 4-8 kids! The bedroom has huge glass windows and french doors to take in the views. There is also a very large rec room with ping pong and a TV media room with plenty of entertainment options. The lower level also has a full bathroom with a shower and a laundry room. For the little ones, we also provide a crib with a mattress, a high chair, and a pack 'n play. On the deck you will find a BBQ, a hammock, and a dining set with an umbrella. On the outside, there is a covered 7 person Hot Tub and a 6 person Sauna situated over a patio that leads to the fire pit under the stars!! Lastly, this home has zoned heating and individually controlled cooling in all bedrooms and common areas. There is also a RV Hookup as well as an EV Charger! Finally, there is also an automatic whole-house backup generator on premises so that mother nature doesn't interfere with your stay! Minimum Stay Requirements: Winter months of December, January, February and March - 3 Night Weekend minimums and 2 Night Mid-Week minimums. MLK and Presidents Day are 4 night minimums. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry. Late Spring months starting May 15th and through last weekend of June have 3 Night Weekend minimums. Memorial Day is a 4 night minimum. Summer months of July and August have 7 Night minimums, depending on the week and availability. Sunday to Sunday stays are preferred. We stayed here for a hockey tournament at the Olympic Center. Gene and Gala are wonderful hosts, check in was simple, the rentals are loaded with amenities, the scenery is beautiful! The kids loved the playrooms and the hot tubs! They checked in with us regularly to make sure our stay was going well. I can not recommend staying here enough. We will be back! Cozy house with plenty of activities in and outside the house. There was 12 of us with dogs. Kids ranging from ages 2-9\. After a day of hiking it was nice our rambunctious kids had their own space so adults could unwind as well. There are so many great hiking/fishing/swimming spots within minutes of the house. Gene is amazing and attended to our every needs prior to our arrival, even checking in via text periodically to see if we were enjoying ourselves or had any questions (thanks,Gene!). In addition to Gene’s concierge level service, we absolutely love all the amenities this house had to offer and took full advantage of them…roasting s’mores over the crackling fire pit under the stars, multiple soaks in the hot tub after a day of skiing/hiking followed by a stint in the very clean sauna. Numerous competitive ping pong tournaments after popping a few cold Ubu’s, reading under a blanket next to the beautiful and gorgeous stone gas fireplace. This house truly has it all and has a great floor plan offering just the right balance of open space yet enough floors/nooks/crannies for privacy and time to oneself. We always have a litany of special requests, and Gene was incredibly accommodating of everything we asked. He was super-responsive, and the house was really clean. The instructions and directions for operating everything were very clear and detailed, and everything worked as it should. The area is a bit remote, but nice.
