Lower Ground Floor: Kitchen/dining room: Woodburner, Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine Ground Floor: Living room: Smart TV, Woodburner Living room 2: (No TV) First Floor: Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Bedroom 2: ¾ Double (4ft) Bed Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Solid fuel central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Enclosed back garden with sitting-out area, garden furniture and barbecue. Private parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. No smoking. Please note: There are 4 steps in the garden. . Step into history at this charming two-bedroom, one-bath holiday cottage, once a miner’s cottage for a quaint hamlet and dating back to the early 1800s. Spread over three floors, the cottage boasts original stone walls, beamed ceilings, and a characterful stone staircase. On the lower ground floor, the spacious kitchen and dining area feature an original wood burner alongside modern appliances. The cosy ground floor living room offers plenty of seating, a Smart TV, and another wood burner for those relaxing nights in. There’s also a reading nook with books and games. Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms, a full size double and a smaller double, and a family shower room with a large shower. Outside, enjoy a private, beautifully maintained garden with seating for four and a BBQ. Off-road parking is available, and the cottage’s unique layout adds to its timeless charm. Marton offers holidaymakers a delightful blend of scenic beauty and rich history. Nestled within the stunning landscapes of the Lake District, it’s an ideal base for exploring the area’s many attractions. Visitors can enjoy picturesque walks through rolling hills and tranquil countryside, with nearby trails offering breathtaking views of the iconic Furness Peninsula and Morecambe Bay. Just a short drive away, Ulverston is a vibrant market town bursting with character. Home to the famous Laurel and Hardy Museum, it celebrates the legacy of the iconic comedy duo, making it a must-visit for fans.
