« We received a warm welcome from Ryan at his 'Community' pub, Ring o'Bells, West Alvington on the outskirts of Kingsbridge. The bedrooms are beside the carpark; access to them is via an open sturdy metal stairway which may be a challenge in adverse weather. The beds with en-suite facilities were clean and well-presented; we all enjoyed a good night's sleep without any distractions. « Absolutely brilliant b&b with great food, staff and close to harbour beach and costal paths. The only disappointing part of the stay is that breakfast does not start until 9am, which for us was too late as we needed to get on with the day. If breakfast is a 8am start would have given the b&b a 5star. »

« What a little gem we found, suited our travelling plans, was central to places we planned on visiting. This place is so picturesque set at the bottom on a hill, majestic trees all the way up the hill, with a stream running around the front. We were warmly greeted by a wonderful lady, Jenny. « The toilet was on the outside of the room which i was not expecting when i had booked a room with a private bathroom. The shower also steps onto carpet and there is no exhaust fan and no way to open the window which makes room quite humid when trying to straighten hair. Also concerned also the shower had some mould in it. The no exhaust fan with the shower being in the room could lead to mould problems in the future. Otherwise okay »

« A B&B that I will definitely stay again whenever I visit St. Austell. Warm, cozy and great location (it only takes less than 5 mins walking distance from St. Austell station, 10 mins walk to town centre) it's like going home as owner was friendly and warm, deco was warm and lovely, and most of all, home cooked and wide choice of breakfast was magnificent. I believe it is the worthiest place to stay with all these and amazingly low pricing charged. Big thumb up and highly recommended. »

« The room was very clean and accessible. it had a shared bathroom but was otherwise self contained. The hostess (Cath?) was very helpful and responsive. The building looked more residential than a hotel but did exactly what I needed it to. I'm happy to recommend it for a short stay. »

The food was tasty and plentiful, proper food, not that novelle cuisiine nonsense. The beer was well-brewed and truly tasty. The parking was a bit cramped but nothing that any reasonably competent driver could not cope with. We would definitely stay there again. »
