"Booked this as a last minute stay too avoid a very early morning drive to a cycling event. On arrival was met by a very helpful manager who explained the parking procedure. After putting luggage in our room we went down to the bar. Again excellent service from the manager and a very friendly atmosphere. Had a great nights sleep in our room which had all the facilities we needed. Left too early to sample breakfast butt all in all we had a great experience "

"We were motorcycle touring and arrived drenched and cold well before check in time. The manager couldn’t have been more helpful, checking us in early, finding a place to dry our kit, reserving a table for meals etc. The pub is small, simple and cosy with great home made food. The evening was fantastic as the locals were all in singing traditional songs as this was the night before the Padstow Hobby Horse day (May 1st). Adrian is a truly wonderful host who made us feel comfortable at all times and nothing was too much trouble. He was always available when we needed him and extremely pleasant to talk to. He is very clued up about the area, this helped us a lot. We also aren't the type of family who would normally eat continental breakfast as we prefer a full english, but it was so lovely! "We had a great 3 day stay at the Farmers Arms. The staff were very friendly and provided us with a fantastic breakfast everyday. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, there were tea and coffee making facilities which were replenished every day. St Merryn is a beautiful village with Harlyn and Constantine being some of the best beaches in the country in my opinion. We will definitely be heading back soon."

"A very cosy, tidy and spacious room for a solo surf trip. The location is perfect, really easy to spot, less than 5 mins walk to the train station, bus station, town centre, beaches, surf schools, different restaurants and pubs. The hosts are very friendly. They prepared packed breakfast for me because I surfed in the mornings. The facilities are all there in the room. The stay was very good value. I will definitely book it again. "

Also very tasty breakfast in the morning, very friendly lady served us and was very flexible about the time we needed to have our breakfast. "

"Lovely Easter break! The 'Owl' room was ideal for the four of us, as has bunks for the kids & a fabulous super-king bed. Superb Breakfasts & Sunday roast served by hosts Dave, Jackie & their team. 5 min drive from St Ives, didn't cause us an issue. This is quite a remote spot so would need a car as not much within walking distance. Excellent base for touring the extreme 'Pointy end' "
