« The hotel is a bit in the middle of nowhere. Otherwise, the room is clean and comfortable, the bathroom clean and big enough. The breakfast offers quite a variety of food. »

« The staff go above and beyond to satisfy customer needs. The evening food is excellent. The car park also has 4nr Osprey destination chargers, ideal for my plug in hybrid for overnight charging. The car park is large, well lit and safe for overnight parking. »

« The food is lovely and the personal great. Servicing of the bedrooms is ‘if you want it, not the norm’. It would be advantageous to change this. Slept well in the comfy bed and liked being close to all village amenities and lovely walks nearby. »

« Located in a lovely setting but starting to look a bit tired throughout. We booked an upgraded room so two nights cost £355.00 Bed and breakfast which I don’t feel was good value. We have stayed in a much nicer hotel with that amount of budget. The room was OK but things like a shower over the bath with a rather tired curtain were not what we had expected. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately I felt the experience didn’t live up to our expectations...

« The room was clean, warm, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful and polite, although we couldn’t find anyone at the bar when we wanted to check in and we couldn’t find a bell. It is an old building and the stairs to our room were quite steep and narrow and quite a lot of them. They allowed us to park in the car park for the two days, although we were only staying the one night. »

« Our visit to this VRBO was like stepping back in time. It was located in the English countryside on a beautifully maintained farm dating back to the 1500's. Everywhere you looked, gave you a sense of peace. The landscape, grand arboretum, the flowers, the occasional sounds of sheep off in the distance was glorious. Our accommodations were in a converted onetime stable, the interior beautifully crafted, with all the amenities one would need. The proprietors were gracious, kind and accommodating....

« The property was warm & welcoming and has fabulous views. The owner was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The property managers Marsdens Cottages were not helpful. The stated check in and out was 4pm to 9 am. (This varied according to where we were reading). Marsdens refused any flexibility, yet the owner was happy to extend (out of season). The VRBO site said "pets welcome", but only 1 pet was welcome, so we had to make other arrangements for our 2 labradors. We suspect that the owner would...
