We loved our bedroom, very spacious. Our room was of a good size with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom was in need of renovation, with no privacy curtain at the window, & a light that flickered at best. We had a great view of the River Exe & the old bridge from our window. The toilet seat was loose and the water had a mouldy taste. The staff were courteous and very busy. The breakfast was bland, they only had instant coffee and no brown sauce. Had a lovely clean room overlooking the river unfortunately had an issue with the heating. This was dealt with by Laura.who relocated us to another room within minutes. Abandoned breakfast first morning as staff had forgotten to turn on water, but had a mug of tea herself, and nothing set up at 8:15 am Went for breakfast second day, shambolic, juice empty etc, food barely warm and avocados on toast almost inedible. Picturesque place by the river. Very quiet and a great place to stay with a family, as the miniature railway for children is just across the road by the bridge. The chalet we stayed in needs a little update and TLC, but was very clean and tidy.
