« We had a lovely weekend in the Shepherd's hut. Very cosy. It is in a very rural position but only a short drive from Beccles and Bungay- we loved the foodie shops in Bungay and the on-site farm shop.
It was great to pop out in the morning to grab still warm eggs from the chicken coop, and the goats and piglets kept us thoroughly amused. A really relaxing stay. »

« The property itself was lovely, clean, well presented, and in a fantastic beach location.
Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by several unexpected issues that only appeared after booking through Expedia.
The listing showed that dogs stay free, yet during the online check‑in I was charged £50 for my dog (£25 per night). I was also asked to pay a £30 non‑refundable damages insurance. None of these costs were disclosed upfront, and had they been, I would not have booked.

« The first greeting was the stink of dogs had to go to shop and get some smellies,the road noise was terrible ,
So many gaps around windows and doors it never warmed up, the lounge furniture was filthy think it all needs replacing perhaps not have dirty smelly animals in there, managed 3 x nights but couldnt wait to get home. »

« You can not fault Stella’s retreat in any way this is the best one that we have stayed in and I don’t think we could better it any were else and we have stayed in a few . The welcome pack was one to die for Cream scones and wine plus more and nice fresh flowers what a welcome after a long drive Thank You plenty of places to visit within easy driving distance Well Done »
