Wind down each thrilling day with a mug of cocoa outside on the private balcony, a soak in the community hot tub, or a cozy night of board games and movies on the large flatscreen TV. The Bedrooms: This studio features a king-size bed that sits adjacent to the living area and the fireplace, a sofabed in the living area, and one full bathroom with a stall shower. What’s nearby: The Ptarmigan House Condominiums enjoy a ski-in/ski-out location just south of Gondola Square, allowing you to stroll (or ski) to the main base area at Steamboat Ski Resort each morning to hop on board the gondola or the Christie Peak Express. On the grounds of Ptarmigan House, you'll have access to a community outdoor hot tub to soothe your legs after a day of skiing, as well as a shared gas grill for afternoon barbecues all summer. Winter activities: Steamboat Ski Resort is immediately north of this complex, offering 18 lifts, 169 trails, and 2,965 skiable acres across Mt. Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge, and Christie Peak. After a day of skiing or snowboarding, you can soak in one of the area's famous hot springs, which include the Old Town Hot Springs (three miles northwest) and Strawberry Park Natural Hot Springs (10 miles north), both of which are open in summer as well. Spend a day snowshoeing, cross-country skiing at the Haymaker Nordic Center (two miles south), or perusing the charming shops, restaurants, and galleries that await in downtown Steamboat Springs (three miles northwest). Summer activities: In the warmer months, Steamboat Ski Resort transforms into a hub of hiking and mountain biking, with 30 miles of cross-country mountain bike and multi-use trails on Mt. Werner alone. Take a scenic gondola ride, tee off at the Haymaker Golf Course (two miles south), or book an excursion with Steamboat Zipline Adventures (six miles south). The furniture was decent, and the bed was comfortable, but the kitchen utensils and cookware were not acceptable. There were very minimal glasses; pretty much juice glasses and two plastic Vacasa cups. The teflon coating on the pots and pans was peeling, which is a health hazard. There were no baking sheets to use in the oven. The location is good. It’s close to the base of the ski mountain/gondola. The hot is nice. ##### Catherine A. The bed is super comfortable (medium firmness). The building is pretty old though so we did have issues with the people above us making a lot of noise. However we were able to call security and they took care of it immediately. The heated garage under the condos was the best thing ever and super secure. It is a true ski in ski out with a trail that goes right up to the door. The staff is very attentive and very helpful. You also can shuttle for free anywhere in town which is nice. The hot tub was surprisingly not crowded at all. we will definitely stay at this property again, despite the noise issues. ##### Danielle D. Theres a simple grocery store/restaurant down the street to buy essentials. Washer dryer downstairs. Walk/ski about 2 min to ski lift. Storage area downstairs for your ski gear. The shuttle was really convenient and we never had to wait more than 10 min for it. Very well kept, awesome location, and it had everything you would need for a weekend away. The only downside was the bed and pillows weren't all that comfortable. Jan 25, 2019 #### Wonderful unit and perfect location! This unit was perfect for my husband, daughter and I's recent ski trip! Everything was clean, had plenty of space, ski-in, close to restaurants, shopping, bars, and the shuttle downtown was super convenient!
