### Norwegian Wood: A Comfy Cabin, Close to Everything

The Cabin has been described as "Magical, Cozy, one with nature, and a Hidden Gem".  During the Covid19 quarantine of 2020 the owners thoughtfully renovated the home without haste.  After complementing rustic Scandinavian touches with modern elements and conveniences the Cabin was dubbed Norwegian Wood.  Named after the Beatles tune of the same name.  The Cabin Exists cohesively with the forest and cliffside creating an exterior that immediately invites into the geological wonder that is the RRG.  
  
The space:  
  
Norwegian wood is at one with its surroundings.  The outdoor spaces are well defined for eating, relaxing in the spa/Hammock and enjoying a fire amongst the boulders that define the firepit area.  The interior of the space has an eclectic mix of Modern and Rustic decor that gives off a Scandinavian vibe. Its well stocked with everything you need to sleep, cook, eat, and relax.  
  
\- 0.25 miles to the Mountain Parkway  
\- 1 mile to the Daniel Boone Coffee Shop  
\- 3 miles to Miguel's Pizza and the Natural Bridge State Park  
\- 4 miles to the scenic loop around the Gorge  
\- 6 miles to The Gorge Underground and Red River Rockhouse Restaurant  
  
Other things to note:  
  
There is another cabin adjacent.  The parking and driveway is shared with this cabin.  The driveway is steep so parking at the bottom is recommended unless you have a 4WD vehicle. Otherwise it is a 50 foot walk up the driveway.  It is the expectation of our guests to respect the parking needs of the guests at the other cabin and vice versa.  Although perched on a hillside, Norwegian Wood is located high above the parkway.  You WILL hear road noise from the parkway.  In  the wintertime, the parkway is visible.

Kitchen:  The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, toaster, cutting boards, plates, and drinkware. Potholders, and kitchen towels are provided. The tap water is safe to drink but there is also a water filter pitcher in the full sized fridge as well.  There is a bar with four bar-stools.  
  
Living Room:  A convertable couch and small desk overlook a kitchen and island bar seating.  
  
Bedrooms:  There is one bedroom with a king sized bed and one sleeper sofa in the living room.  
  
Bathroom:  One full bathroom with a shower.  
  
Technology:  There is wifi!  There is a TV that can be used to stream any subscription services you may have (there is no cable television).  
  
Parking:  There are two spots at the bottom of the driveway for parking.  The driveway is steep but a car with 4 wheel drive can park at the top.

We are happy to host pets at Norwegian Wood and ask for an additional $50 (plus tax) non-refundable pet cleaning fee for the first pet.  Any additional pets are $25 (plus tax).  
  
Linens are always provided for this cabin.  We will provide pillows, blankets, bedsheets and bath towels.  We will also provide kitchen towels, toilet paper, hand and dish soap.  
  
Firewood is also available upon request.  For $25 we will deliver firewood to your fire pit.  Please be sure to mark on your reservation if you would like firewood delivery.  Please be sure to put out all fires COMPLETELY when you are finished.

#### Couples Getaway

My husband and I had the perfect weekend getaway. It was the perfect space for just the two of us. It was close to all the places we wanted to hike. It is right next to the parkway just like the listing tells, so it was a little loud. The bed was comfy and the couch was perfect for winding down with a movie before bed.

We enjoyed our two day stay. The space is small but well equipped and laid out well, very functional. Bed is comfy tucked in a cozy nook. My only complaint is the location. It’s close to the highway. Maybe if there were leaves on the trees, it would have provided a better buffer. We travelled early spring so no foliage yet. Overall a very pleasant stay.
