« Overall, Melia Serengeti was a delightful lodge and our stay was nearly perfect. Sadly they were doing controlled fires in the surrounding area meaning that there was heavy smell of smoke and burning which affected air quality significantly. If it weren’t for this the place would be perfect. »

« Remote glamping. Feels like a miracle that this camp in the middle of the Serengeti has hot water, electricity, Internet, and white tablecloth dining. Staff are friendly and helpful. This is not for the faint hearted or light sleeper. There are delightful animal noises at night. Baboons come into the camp at dusk. « Overpriced substandard facilities. Freezing cold bedroom. Ugly architecture, dark and dingy. Dirty dark and cold bathroom. Window stained with dead bugs and dust. No heaters to compensate. Very depressing. No hot water. We were forced to to ask them to boil water and put it into buckets in order to wash ourselves by using an empty margarine container.
