There wasn’t even a fresh coat of paint, and there was a large water stain on the ceiling from an obvious water leak. We even noticed what appeared to be blood on one of the walls.Cleanliness was a major issue — the handrail was filthy, there were crumbs in the beds, and one bed had what appeared to be smeared snot or feces on it. We also found used tissues left in the bathroom cabinets. It was clear the home hadn’t been properly cleaned or inspected before our arrival.To make matters worse, after a late flight we were locked out and had to sit outside until after midnight before finally getting in.To their credit, management did refund us so we could find another place to stay, which we appreciated. We visit five to eight times a year, paying a premium for a nice place, so we expect basic cleanliness. We checked in late around ten thirty PM due to delayed flights, only to find the unit filthy-dirty sheets and towels from previous guests stacked in the closet. My wife had to stay up until two AM washing and drying sheets just so our daughter could sleep in a clean bed. After asking three times, management only offered a thirty-five dollar cleaning fee reduction, which felt like a poor excuse for service. This was honestly the worst experience we've ever had here. I can attach pictures to show the state of the unit. It was so close to the beach entrance and the Beach Club. Walkable to several restaurants and shops in Watercolor. Scratch restaurant is literally next door and they had an amazing breakfast menu. Seaside town square is about a 5-10 minute walk. The unit is beautifully decorated and spacious. We had issues operating the gas stove but the property managers were quick to respond and send help.
