For the most part the staff was friendly and accommodating Nothing to do on the beach which is closed at night for security reasons. If you want to take a romantic walk on the beach at night, it’s the wrong place to go. The food is decent but expensive for the area. The night manager takes kickbacks from the cab drivers openly which comes out of your pocket because those drivers charge you extra extra to make the kickback back. Ride that cost me 90 pesos going out cost 50 pesos coming back in….. Because of this alone I will not be back. This place is very far away from town and I spent the majority of my vacation money in taxis getting overcharged partly because of the night manager/front desk gentleman. Next time I’m staying in Santa Marta proper, it’s all beach there….

Great stuff and great hotel , everything was very clean . The only bad thing about this hotel is the location , nothing is around to walk or do anything , is 25 min away from the city of Santa Marta . But in overall my experience at the hotel was great .

Ghl árelas Costa Azul is an old but well maintained property, exceptionally clean but far from all kind of activities. Good for families with small children, not so much for adults. It has just one restaurant, not any bars and the food is pretty limited

It's a really safe and peaceful hotel. The beach is right in front of the hotel. Their swimming pools are also really beautiful. The bedrooms are spacious and clean. Customer service was excellent.

Recomiendo mucho este hotel, es alejado del centro pero muy lindo para desconectarte de todo. Algo que podrían mejorar es que haya café o agua en la torre secundaria, solo hay en la principal durante un tiempo. Por lo demás todo muy bien.

I filtered for hotels with a gym and chose this one. When I got there and asked for the fitness center, they told me there isn’t one! Food is really bad. Place is loud, since very early until quite late. Difficult to sleep.

Window would not close - room filled with mosquitos. Shower door is dangerous and caused injuries. Staff looked and felt miserable.
