"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"It is a very beautiful property with amazing views! The staff was very friendly. They were constantly cleaning. The food was great and reasonably priced. (We have had a hard time with finding good food for a good price in the previous places we stayed. The beach was incredible! It is a a tough drive on gravel would recommend a 4 wheel drive with good tires. We had a small car and had to go very slow. There is three creeks that need to be crossed we were okay because it is the dry hot season."

"You definitely need a 4x4 or SUV to get here. The roads are not paved. The place is fantastic and hostess were very friendly. They do serve typical Costa Rica breakfast and love that they offer up all natural juices with breakfast. The views are spectacular! Downside is that there’s not much to do and nowhere to eat. The hotel does not offer dinner but states international cuisine. You might want to have an early dinner if not you aré screwed. Also, bring snacks and drinks for your room. Last thing make sure you fill on gas because there’s no gas stations. Overall a great place to relax with a view of the ocean. No A/C but the ceiling fans work great and high enough that’s it’s not hot "

The views were absolutely stunning, and we loved the thoughtful layout that gave everyone space while keeping us connected.Every excursion was so much fun and the concierge, Christopher, was phenomenal to work with, helping us plan everything with ease! Alex and Jenny were truly a gift. They were always ready to help and prepared delicious meals that our whole family enjoyed. We are so grateful for their hospitality and left with full hearts and wonderful memories."

"Casa de la Loma exceeded our expectations and this was a bucket list trip. The amenities, the mesmerizing view of the ocean and the wonderful food & service provided by Anna & Freddy made this week so enjoyable. Anna was a joy to be around and so knowledgeable of the area, but her cooking was the icing on the cake. Nothing like “happy hour” around the pool and having a wonderful dinner at 6pm without lifting a spoon! This became our favorite time of day for our family watching beautiful sunsets and anticipating a scrumptious dinner. "
