Borgo Migliorini is nothing short of a magical place. An hidden gem tucked away in the beatiful Abetone mountain, it provided a marvellous frame for our wedding which we hosted here in mid-June. Blessed by fabulous weather, our guests raved about their stay in this cabin and were just mesmerized by the beauty of it all. The cabins are built with ex-novo materials salvaged by the hamlet's owner, who descends from a long line of illustrious artists and put his very soul in the restoration of this hamlet by scattering pieces made by his ancestors over the centuries. If you are not too fussy about things being polished, are a nature lover and rustic is your style, look no further. Great value for money.

Das Haus ist sehr alt und hat viele besondere Details. Es wirkt im ersten Moment ...

Das Haus ist sehr alt und hat viele besondere Details. Es wirkt im ersten Moment auch gut, um mit einer Gruppe (wir waren 13 Personen) eine schöne Zeit zu verbringen. Es gibt viel Platz, lange Tische für gemeinsames Essen und die Küche ist perfekt für das Kochen für große Gruppen. Aber es gibt Probleme mit Feuchtigkeit, insbesondere im Untergeschoss, weshalb es wirklich sehr modrig riecht. Wir haben die Fenster durchgehend geöffnet gehabt, damit man den Geruch überhaupt ertragen kann. In vielen Zimmern sieht man auch Flecken von Feuchtigkeit oder Schimmel. Richtig ungemütlich wird es bei Regen: es hat in mehreren Zimmern durchs Dach geregnet und auch wenn der Vermieter das als “nur ein bisschen” bezeichnet, wir erwarten doch schon, dass es im Haus zumindest trocken ist. Unter anderem hat es auf eine Kommode geregnet, auf der ein iPad lag, das wir zum Glück noch retten konnten. Statt uns ums Abendessen zu kümmern, waren wir an einem Abend ziemlich beschäftigt, mit Eimern und Töpfen durchs Haus zu rennen und das Wasser mit Handtüchern aufzuwischen. Der untere Pool war nicht benutzbar, weil voller Algen, der Weg dahin wäre über die rutschigen Steine auch zu gefährlich und auch dieser Platz wirkt ungepflegt. Der gemeinsame Pool ist okay, aber weil er sehr schattig liegt, ist er recht kalt. Der Innenhof des Hauses ist auch kein schöner Ort, er ist überhaupt nicht gestaltet und trostlos. Außerdem lag überall Laub herum, das offensichtlich einen Gulli verstopft hatte, weshalb das Wasser beim starken Regen 10cm tief in der Loggia stand. Da kam dann der Vermieter, um das frei zu räumen, den restlichen Schlamm haben wir dann am nächsten Tag weggeräumt. Die Duschvorhänge haben Stockflecken, eine Klobrille war kaputt, in der Loggia hängt die Decke voller beeindruckender Spinnenweben - das ganze wirkt einfach wenig gepflegt, was echt schade ist. Nachdem das Wetter umgeschlagen war, roch es auch noch aus dem Abflüssen, das war ziemlich eklig. Im Dach wohnen Siebenschläfer, sehr putzig abends zu beobachten, aber das Getrappel unterm Dach war in der Nacht schon gruselig für die Kinder. Der Vermieter ist ein sehr, sehr freundlicher Mensch, aber ich würde einen Aufenthalt dort nicht empfehlen. Wir waren am Ende wirklich sehr enttäuscht von der Unterkunft.

Leider nicht wie auf den Bildern

Wir hatten uns sehr auf den Aufenthalt gefreut, aber leider haben wir das Haus nicht in dem Zustand vorgefunden wie es beschrieben war. Das Haus war deutlich mehr runtergekommen als auf den Bildern, und wirklich sauber war es auch nicht... Es gab an einigen Wänden Schimmel und Wasserflecken und der Gemeinschaftspool war Grün. Als wir den Vermieter darauf angesprochen haben hat er leider nicht reagiert und auch keine Anstalt gemacht etwas zu ändern. Als wir dann mit fewo Kontakt aufgenommen haben wurden unsere Beschwerden an den Vermieter weitergegeben, aber leider hat dieser kein Stück darauf reagiert. Wir können daher das Haus leider nicht weiterempfehlen!

Vriendelijke, behulpzame huisbaas. Oud gerestaureerde herberg, maar de tuin mocht iets netter en vooral een verwarmingssysteem voor het zwembad want dit was echt veeel te koud voor jongere kinderen. De omgeving was mooi in de bergen/heuvels, lekker fris om te slapen, wel wat veel bochten wanneer je op uitstap wil.
