Situated along the peaceful Carrizo Creek & adjacent to the National Forest. This setting is absolutely beautiful. From your own deck patio, enjoy the fresh, clean mountain air while watching the family of resident ducks swimming in the stream a few steps from your cottage. Walk or drive to the Inn of the Mountain God's Lake for a fun day of fishing, canoeing, or paddle boats! Everything you'll need can be rented at the lake's dock. Grindstone Lake & horseback riding is only 2 miles away. Other close by activities include: Funtrackers (go carts for toddlers to adults), mini golf, bumper boats, and rock wall. Two Rivers Park & pony rides, Horse racing, shopping, and restaurants. These Cottages are perfect for two couples in the same party, as both are set up as an efficency with a private bath and kitchenette so you can have your own privacy yet still be together, lodging right next door to each other. \* Winter Snow Conditions may require 4wd or chains! This cabin is not pet friendly. STANDARD CANCELATION POLICY: (Normal reservations other than holidays, etc.): If you give us 14 days or more notice, we will refund your FULL DEPOSIT less the cancellation fee\*. With less than 14 days’ notice, but greater than 7 days’ notice, we will refund 50% of your deposit less the cancellation fee\*. Less than 7 days’ notice, but greater than 48 hours’ notice, we will refund 25% of your deposit less the cancellation fee\*. If you give us less than 48 hours’ notice, SORRY, you will be charged for 100% of the total reservation cost. Any reservation 30 days or longer will require a 30-day notice to cancel. SPECIAL EVENTS CANCELATION POLICY: Specialty Weekends, Family Reunions, and Holidays such as Aspencade, Memorial Day, Spring Break, etc., require a FULL 30-DAY NOTICE to cancel for a full refund less the cancellation fee\*. The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with a comfortable queen bed and deck to relax. The host was very accommodating and added internet while we were there, which was much appreciated. They also provided us with some delicious local roasted coffee, which was a great way to start the day. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Ruidoso! ##### Tom D. Check in was easy and the cabin was close to restaurants in either direction. It is perfect for one-two people, but it does not have a kitchenette or silverware aside from the spoons provided for coffee. It does have a little table behind it to view wildlife. We were able to see deer, chipmunks, squirrels, and a wild turkey. I would stay again. ##### Storm V. The cottage was very clean and very compact, but nice for just a couples get away. The only thing I would say is that in the description they don’t tell you your little cottage has another one connected to it so that you hear everything, and I do mean Everything on the other side. Not good when you are sound asleep and the other people come in at 2:30 in the morning, and let’s just say are very recreational for several hours! The first two nights were great as we were the only ones there, but the last two were not great! I wanted to be able to say I’d stay again, but I’ll have to think twice before we do.
