"We really enjoyed our stay. We had the Amazon (luxury) room and it was great. Loved the bed ! Firm and really comfortable! Soaker tub and complimentary wine was also nice. Freddy in the restaurant and all staff were great. We walked to centre of old town from the hotel within 10-15\. We felt safe in and around old town Quito. Previously we were in Brazil, so this was a nice change. While elevation isn’t super high (2800m approx) we did get altitude sickness for about 18 hours. We dint expect it so we didn’t take medicine in advance, but when we did, it helped. Breakfast was nice. Pretty simple but nice ham & eggs, etc. "

"The courtyard was so beautiful. The history of the building added to the intrigue and charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful 2 night stay. Safety was a high priority with a fare to buzz in guests. The breakfast was very nice and again the cavern environment told a story that added to the experience. It’s a gem in Quito. "

"The staff stood at at Hotel David. Sandy and Joshua were extremely helpful and friendly. The negative is all the stairs at the hotel and no elevator. If not for the stairs, I would return again.
