Take a deep breath and unwind in the majestic Mountain Spirit Retreat—a 12-acre oasis of total peace and tranquility in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas, located just 25 miles from Yosemite National Park and nine miles from the Jesse Ross Cabin. This unique home is full of space for creativity, relaxation, meditation, and exploration. This retreat offers an abundantly stocked kitchen, dining room, large living area with an open fire and wood-burning stove, an office with a stocked library, and a beautiful sunroom. The main bedroom is located on the ground floor with direct access to the sunroom. It has a beautiful en-suite bathroom with a shower and spacious jetted tub beneath breathtaking mountain views. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and one full bathroom as well as a cozy sitting area with a couch. The sunroom leads onto a wonderful outdoor space with two large decks offering vast mountain views. The upper deck has a lounge set where you can dine outside or sit and star gaze under the heavenly night skies –feel free to use the telescope for this! The large lower deck has ample space for yoga, meditation, or other activities. Beyond the deck there is great land to explore, a stretch of wilderness untouched by any map! This is a haven for kids and adults! It's a 10-minute walk to the sacred Whiskey Falls, a waterfall that cascades down large granite rock for miles and miles with limitless views and epic swimming holes. This is one of the main attractions for locals. There are also several nearby trails for hiking and bike riding. The home is at 3400 feet in elevation and receives the best of all 4 seasons. Coming with your family? Find something for all ages. The house is stocked with play areas with books, toys and crafts for any child to get lost in for hours. The glorious Yosemite National Park is only a short drive away. Bass Lake is a twenty-minute drive and has restaurants and many swimming/boating adventures. If you are in need of some healing, movement or just some self-care; take advantage of our licensed acupuncturists who can offer treatments tailored to your personal goals and needs. She specializes in yoga, acupuncture, massage, nutrition, and meditation. THINGS TO KNOW There is a friendly neighborhood cat that sometimes comes by the house his name is Jasper. For little guests, a highchair is provided. A Double-size futon is provided. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Security camera details: This home has a ring camera, located next to the front door. Our favorite part of the stay was being on the back porch with an amazing view. The house was great inside as well. An update of the property pictures and the amenities should be looked at since I specifically was looking to have a hot tub for my stay and had that as a filter and this location didn’t have that. I was also looking forward to the cold plunge tub and that wasn’t working either. WiFi went out and I was unable to fix because I couldn’t locate that router. There is plenty of things to explore and the hot tub was fantastic. Checking in the code didn’t work for the door and it took a long time to get ahold of someone to help. Two breakers were also tripped. I had to fix a wire on the thermostat to get it to work. Once through the initial issues we had a fantastic time. The fireplaces were fun to use and kept the house very warm. Overall a good experience. ##### JESSIE F.
