"This property is stunning, tucked away in the jungle, but still a (very) short walk to town and the beach. The pool is quiet, with monkeys and other critters to watch while you relax. Fabulous drinks and OUTSTANDING food. The staff was nice, accommodating and overall very friendly- we really enjoyed our stay here and will be back."

"While the bungalows may be on the rustic side, it is authentic and functional - and the setting is absolutely unmatched. The small pool at the centre of the compound is a Costa Rican paradise. "Aves is absolutely beautiful. Quite a bit more modern than the general vibe of the area, which was just great for me. The room, the pool, etc. were incredibly comfortable and relaxing, but what really made it great was the staff. Mike, the owner, and his crew were phenomenal. They helped us out in numerous ways, including arranging tours, taxis, and massages. It was a genuine pleasure to get to know them. I would gladly go back again, and again. "
