"The staff was very friendly and helpful. Always made sure to answer my questions and give useful information. Regarding the rooms, they were mostly clean and in good condition, however, the A/C didn't seem to work and neither did the bathroom extractor fan. The hotel is well connected, at 25 minutes walking from Downtown Arles. The free parking is very useful if you're planning on renting a car and driving to neighboring towns. "

"Séjour pas top j’ai réservé pour une nuit à 6 et j’aurai pas dormi une nuit de plus ! La propreté laisse à désirer cafards dans les pièces de l’appartement même dans le frigo et nous avons été envahi de mouches se qui est très désagréable.De plus au bord de la piscine impossible de bronzé sans se faire dérangé par des bestioles et pour finir mon fils s’est fait piqué au visage par un taon qui tourne autour de la piscine. "The Cacharel is like going back in time to a French ranch house. Staff is incredible- food is amazing. Gorgeous large pool (eat there!) rooms all have AC and are comfortable. Incredible location right by marshes with hundreds of flamingos and ample places to ride the iconic white horses. We had no idea how amazing this part of the world is. Would absolutely recommend if you want a wonderful once in a lifetime family adventure! We loved our stay (and added a night!) "

"Beautiful hotel which should have been a memorable experience however one person at the front desk totally ruined our whole experience. Golden rule of hospitality is first impression is everything and your front of office is always first impression. We were treated so poorly by the rude, unhelpful, unkind and actually nasty front of desk manager that we will never return nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone. There were numerous incidents regarding directions to the parking garage, to my knowledge of directions, to access to the sauna, to the WiFi which was not working , to luggage access to our room up two flights of stairs…but the cherry on the top was when I called reception to let them know there was no “soap” in the bathroom was that I was told I “must come downstairs to get it.” I don’t care this is a 5 star establishment…no hotel 1 or 5 star has no soap in the bathrooms and then tells you to fetch it. When said person whom I shall not name realised by the tone in my voice that that was the final straw, he quickly ran up to the room with a bar of soap. I always read reviews for hotels before I book and the first 10 reviews for Villa Mazarin are all 5 star! Once I started reading further after my encounter with this rude staff member it became clear this is an ongoing serious problem at this establishment. The next morning at the hotel I was told hey are aware of the problem and he is a problem. Sort out your rude staff or Villa Mazarin is not worth visiting"

"The Mercure Arles is in a perfect position to explore the old part of Arles on foot. The only cars allowed in the old part are those owned by people who live there, so walking is the only way to explore. It’s a lot of fun exploring the narrow streets and there’s plenty of places to rest along the way. The Mercure is clean, the rooms are not big but adequate and the every staff member we encountered was professional, helpful and engaging. The amenities are basic, just hand and body wash, which appears to be the case in most French Mercure Hotels. There was no fridge in our room which we found very unusual and medication needed to be handed to staff for refrigeration which was a little inconvenient. We ate at the restaurant but there are many more better places to eat that have a more diverse menu. I think the restaurant mainly caters to French coach tours and it is probably more suited to that clientele. If position is important in your travel plans then Mercure Arles is very well placed."
