"Absolutely shocking! Turned up the place looked shut down and abounded all smashed windows and graffiti all over walls. Knocked on door to see if I got the wrong address and they said my room was cancelled because toilet was broken! Well I wouldn’t of stayed there but the fact they didn’t contact me before hand to say the room was cancelled is bad, AVOID!!! Wish I took pictures but I will next time in Liverpool!"

"This is not a Hotel, this is basically an AirB&B with escalated prices for a room with shared bathroom and shared also with owner. The owner was nice enough but we paid £97 for night (not worth it) compared to £65 at Ibis hotel in Liverpool (Albert Docks) - air conditioning, own bathroom and much more comfort. This ‘Hotels.com’ need to vet what people are offering. I am actually quite offended by what I was offered and will now use other sites to book ACTUAL hotels! "

"The reception staff (Liz and Marianne) were very welcoming. Spotless throughout the hotel. Room spacious and very clean. Everything one needs for a stay. Shower nice and warm and strong. The housekeeping even though it’s not daily, they do come and check if you need anything. Free coffees and water on first floor 24/7\. The hotel is smack bang in the city centre with every kind of shop on your doorstep. Secure entrance for late nights out. The Lime Street rail station just minutes away. Plenty of taxis around. City is mostly walkable. Definitely will return to Citadines Liverpool again. "

"The staff were absolutely lovely. They helped us with directions and other information. The place was clean and comfortable, with lovely toiletries and other treats such as giant cookies! The coffee pod machine was very welcome. It was,a real bonus to have a fridge in the room, complete with bottles of water, and fresh milk to put in our hot drinks. Slippers and bathrobes were provided for our use, which was another nice touch. The breakfasts were amazing too. The hotel is virtually next door to the railway station, so very convenient. The only tiny thing I would mention is the lighting. My eyesight isn't great, and I would have appreciated a brighter light, ir extra sources of lighting, for reading etc after dark On the whole, I have to say that this is one of the loveliest hotels I've stayed in. A big Thank You to all the staff who made our stay brilliant. "
