Unfortunately, that’s where the positive ends. I booked my room a week in advance and had already paid, but when I arrived they told me the hotel was overbooked and moved us to their sister property. MainStay is definitely the better of the two, so this was already a disappointment — but we tried to roll with it, thinking maybe it would be an upgrade. We were wrong. The hallways reeked of weed, like people were smoking nonstop in their rooms. Our room was dirty and absolutely not up to standard. The bed even had these strange metal pieces sticking out all around the frame, just waiting to bruise your shins. The bathtub had what looked like black mold around the ring. For over $300, this was not at all what we expected. Overall, extremely disappointed to have booked and paid in advance just for our room to be given away and then be sent to a far lower-quality hotel. Everything seemed okay to the naked eye when i walked in. Got all my things unpacked and settled, started to make my dinner and sat doen for the night. Then i noticed the floor. It hasnt been vacuumed. Okay.. not awful. Then i smelled something a little sour. Looking all over. Looked under the bed. And omg. There is SO MUCH garbage and trash. There was also a ton of old grapes scattered every where. Then obviously with food on the ground, there were bugs. Dead bugs. Started cleaning up the gross stuff so there wouldn't be more bugs or smells. Theres also a giant spider web in the corner, floor to the wall. Clearly hasnt been touched in a long time. I let her be. Cleaning up some of the dishes and open the dishwasher.... it doesnt look like anyone has opened that in weeks. The dirty old dishes were covereddddddd in mold. Closed that right up, out of sight, out of mind. I wanted to complain the next morning and get a new room , but i was unpacked and settled and had to be up and out very early. Luckily, the first morning i was able to get to breakfast and they had everything available. The next morning, there were no eggs or sausage. Ugh. I drink LOTS of coffee. On the weekends, they dont offer breakfast until 7am. The hotel itself was great for the price. Clean, quiet, bed was comfortable, bathrooms are huge.
