Magnificent family house completely renovated of 250 m2 with 4 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Very large lounge / dining room / fully equipped American kitchen of 100 m2. Private parking.
Located in the small village of Watrange in the commune of Lake Haute Sure the house is very quiet while being a 7 minute drive from Pommerloch, the largest shopping center in the region open all year round 7 days / 7. The means of access to the city of Luxembourg are: the car in 45mn, the Bus in 1h and the train to Wiltz accessible by bus from the house.
We are also 10 minutes by car from Bastogne in Belgium.

Lovely house, terrible welcome, bad hygiene
The house is lovely and very spacious. Unfortunately, the housekeeper was not welcoming at all, even bordering on the rude. Despite the fact that there is no heating in the downstairs living area (lounge & with open plan kitchen) she did not want us to use the chimneys. It was about 10 deg centigrade outside, so with the large bay windows it was really cold inside. We had to argue for at least 10-15 minutes to then be told we were allowed to use one of the chimneys but not the other. She then told us a few times that we needed to clean it as if we were dirty irresponsible kids. After calling the property owner, who was very friendly, we were of course allowed to use both chimneys. The lady also did not want to give us an additional towel. There is one bath towel and one small hand towel per person for one week, and despite us only being two people and having paid for 8 people I had to beg and plead for another 10 minutes to be given an additional towel. Bear in mind that we were staying for a whole week. We were then told in no uncertain terms we needed to clean the property before leaving, which we would have done anyways, and separate the garbage into specific bins, otherwise we would be charged 600€. To top it the place had clearly not been cleaned (nor santized) before our arrival. There was long dark hair in the showers, on the chairs, on the floor (neither my partner nor myself have long dark hair, so they were not ours). There were cobwebs in the staircases and on the doorframes and dirty patches in corners aso. In addition the ad for the house mentions fitness equipment, but apart from a home-trainer (bike), which to the owners admission is not working, there was no fitness equipment to be seen. To summarize, the house has potential, the owner seems nice enough but the housekeepers terror regime is really offputting and did ruin part of the experience. Also, lacking hygiene is totally unacceptable.

Super leuk huis!
Erg fijn verblijf gehad in dit mooie, grote huis! Erg netjes, fijn ontvangst, koel in de zomer. Er ontbreken een paar dingen: goeie wifi, spiegel + kast in 1 van de kamers. Toch is dit huis een echte aanrader!

Comfortable with room for improvement
Our stay at the house was nice and quiet and with four bedrooms and three bathrooms you’re never in each other’s way. The large living area/kitchen is very comfortable and offers a nice view of the back garden, some meadows and even a little patch of forest. The newer part of the house is very nice, while the original part could be considered more basic. Rachel the housekeeping manager went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and was more than happy to help us in any way she could. She even brought us an extra space heater so that our parents were able to keep their bedroom warm and we even used it to prevent the living area from becoming chilly. However, there were a few downsides: - There is only one (double) bedroom on the main floor, the other three bedrooms require you to climb a flight of steep and narrow stairs. This might be a problem for people with somewhat limited mobility and makes the house almost impossible to enjoy for wheelchair users. - The downstairs bedroom and the main living area/kitchen had no central heating; the living area does have two woodburning stoves, but having to get up early to light a fire and wait for the enormous room to get warm and/or doing the same in the evening after you’ve been away all day might not be everyone’s idea of fun or comfort (I know it isn’t mine). - One of the upstairs bedrooms has ample wardrobe space; the other bedrooms (3) however have none at all, so it is impossible to hang shirts, pants and blouses. - There is a large TV in the living room and two more in two of the bedrooms, but there are only a handful of French stations available, so unless you speak French you will not get much use out of it. Not even the local channels are available. All in all an enjoyable experience with some room for improvements. Not Rachel though, she is great just the way she is! We found it strange that for a house that is advertised for up to 8 persons, there are only 4 real dining room chairs. There are folding chairs to complement these, but to us it seemed rather odd. Outside, the terrace table only has 6 chairs. All in all an enjoyable experience with some room for improvements. Not Rachel though, she is great just the way she is!

Perfect location for exploring Luxembourg and surrounding countries
We had a very enjoyable week in this wonderfully well equipped house. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The house is very close to the Belgian border and around a 50 min drive from the capital. You can also be in France and Germany in around an hour. I would highly recommend this house to all. Nice location from which to explore Luxembourg and Eastern Belgium. Very roomy house for us with 5 people. Could have easily fit more. Well-appointed kitchen and overall very comfortable.

Great Space!
We rented the house as a gathering space for our family reunion and it worked out very well. Lots of room in a quiet, quaint setting. The property manager was very responsive to our needs and questions.
