« We were only here for one night, so our experience was limited, however, the unit was clean, comfortable and well- stocked. The location is off the beaten path and on a dirt road, but was perfect for a quiet stay. We even had deer come through the yard. The only comment I would make is that there was a strong cleaner smell when we arrived. It did mean that the unit was clean, however, maybe use a little less as it was harsh on my family with asthma. Otherwise a great stay. »

« This is a spectacular property overlooking the tidal Benjamin River, seen through the huge windows in the livingroom as well as from a nice outdoor deck, patios and expansive lawn with Adirondack chairs. The beds were super comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, and it was very convenient to get to Deer Isle, Blue Hill and all the other nearby towns. Highly recommended! »

« We had a wonderful stay at Quietside Cottage. We loved the quiet street for our kids to walk and ride bikes on; we loved proximity to town to be able to walk to ice cream, coffee, and restaurants. We loved proximity to hiking in Acadia, and swimming at Echo lake. We loved proximity to the SW bus stop to be able to get to Bar Harbor without a car. In terms of the house itself, the three season room was our favorite place to be - very comfortable for our kids and for us. The bedrooms were small...

« Good location, clean, updated remodel with a good bathroom and great AC. Hui and Richard could not have been nicer and more helpful...left a welcome gift of honey from their hives. Even helped with a difficult outboard engine! Would definitely stay there again! »

« Our stay at Poet’s Cabin was perfect. It was far enough away from the business of Bar Harbor but close enough that we could drive over quickly and eat, shop, and do touristy things. The cabin was cozy and relaxing. So many great hiking trails around. The food recommendations from the owner were spot on! The wildlife around the cabin were fun to watch! We saw a lot of deer and wild turkeys. »

« Right on the water! Perfect view of Boat races if you are in town for them. I was worried about being right on Main Street, but very little street noise in the town even during a big event. The deck is huge and lots of places to sit. The communal room had some nice snacks to help us keep our 6 year old happy. The town of Stonnington is well worth the visit and a perfect spot to relax. ONLY complaint is I'm not used to having to shuffle a car around due to parking rules. Parking on street...

« This was the perfect, private home for our weekend getaway to Southwest Harbor! The front yard is huge and our kids loved the swing set out front. The fire pit was so nice to hang around too. The home is within walking distance to the Bass Harbor Lighthouse and a quick 5-10 minute drive into town. There’s so much to do and see in the area, I just wish we had more time to spend there! »
