Located in the heart of the village. Walk to all the things Stonington has to offer. One minute walk to 44 Coffee North. Two minute walk to Isle au Haut Ferry. Watch the commercial fishing boats unload their catch. Take a ride on a charter boat and see and explore the many offshore islands. Isle au Haut Ferry takes you to Isle au Haut, part of Acadia National Park located 7 miles offshore. A number of local captains can take you on private charters to explore the area. The apartments are on the second floor accessed by stairs. Apartment number one is close to Main Street. The fisherman start early in the morning. Very picturesque harbor. It appears to be newly remodeled, nicely decorated, light and airy, spotlessly clean, and included many amenities to make for a pleasant stay. A bit of a view of the harbor from the windows and convenient to strolling the streets of downtown and enjoying the restaurants and shops. As has been noted in other reviews, there is some traffic noise, especially early in the morning due to fishermen heading to the harbor, but we travel with a white noise machine, and that mitigated the sounds. Ideal location This is a short walk to the dock to Isle Au Haut, multiple restaurants, a general store & the harbor area. You won't need to move your car unless leaving the whole area. The place is really nice. Much fancier than I needed. The woman at the Kayak shop (not affiliated) explained which door to enter the combination & some other details and even turned on an extra fan for me. If she hadn't been there I could have figured it out with the details provided. It wouldn't be quite so intuitive if arriving in the dark after things were closed as there is a small sign for a single "apt 1" spot among "no parking" signs in the same lot and a small ramp to the back door. The one negative was the coffee maker couldn't be used easily when there was only filters left (no coffee, creamer or sugar).
