« We just wanted a little place all to ourselves that felt warm and homely and this place did that for us. The log fire keeps the cottage toasty warm and the autumn leaves all around us was beautiful. The steps up can be slippery in the wet but that was to be expected with where the cottages were and with all the trees surrounding them. »

« What is not to like about this property? It's cosy, clean and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The host was friendly and easy to contact but respected our privacy. Complimentary breakfast items and wine were provided along with fire wood and cooking staples. The bed was super comfortable. This place is in such a beautiful setting with an idyllic view over the valley. We sat for hours on the deck listening to the sounds of nature around us, watching the sun come up...

« We had an amazing time, thank you Jeanna :) The place is clean and has everything you could want, including a recently renovated en suite. The location is perfect for a regional getaway. We stayed for four nights and used the house as a base to explore Daylesford, Hephburn Springs, Ballarat, Bendigo and a few nearby wineries and hiking locations. Jeanna was a great host. She gave us lots of information before we got there so checking in and out and exploring the area was super easy. »

« We absolutely loved the property, the animals were a beautiful sight to wake to amidst the picturesque fields. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchenette also was well equipped. Eddie put the heaters on for us prior to our arrival so the home was very warm. We had a very relaxing stay and enjoyed the surrounding areas. Thanks for your hospitality Eddy. »

« My husband and I had a great time at The Shack. Alison was prompt and communicative in the lead up to the stay and we found the property exactly as advertised. We really appreciated the breakfast and snack options, and also our interactions with the resident golden retriever, Daisy! (Who was also very obedient and could be contained if that was an issue for others!) We loved the coziness of the fireplace and will certainly try to come back in warmer months when we can make use of the outside...

« Lovely 2 bedroom plus bungalow home close to the main street. Luxury linens, everything is lovely quality even the tea towels. Jane lives onsite in a studio and her sister is next door so help is always available. Only issue (not mentioned in the ad) was that one bedroom is separate to the house so not suitable for anyone who needs the toilet overnight in cold weather. Gorgeous vintage furniture and a very homely vibe throughout. »

From the thoughtfully installed Spa to the natural light streaming through all the windows, to the kookaburra that would visit every day. « I loved having the balcony. I could enjoy the afternoon autumn sun while reading and having a coffee. I liked having the 2 different entrances to the property. Being on foot at all times, and not having to always go a long way round to enter was beneficial. Not far from the V-line bus stop. My room being on the main roads and right above the roundabout, the traffic can be a little relentless, but does seem to quieten between 9.30pm and 7-7.30 am. I would stay there again, no qualms! »
