"The staff were very helpful and courteous. The room was nice and clean and it was great to have air conditioning, especially as the room didn’t have any windows. The cheese and wine on a Saturday night for guests is a great idea. Would book a room with a window next time, but overall was a great 2 nights"

"We've stayed in a few 4/5 star hotels and we know that those ratings don't mean a lot but my observations: - Best shower I've ever used by a long shot, and genuinely very clean. - Huge bed, like huge huge - Lots of space etc Now the weird: - pillows were just full of lumps of stuffing, basically the worst pillow I've ever slept on - the bed made up for our 5 y/o son was on a pull out sofa (no probs, they always are) the problem was instead of a duvet / bed sheet, the blanket was a plushy throw & honestly I wasn't convinced it wasn't the sofa throw - had it even been washed. We didn't raise this with the staff as we all just slept in the main bed in the end. - Net curtains were basically disgusting, I think one of the stains was from vomit. How bizarre, it was like genuine luxury mixed with random bits of travel lodge type shenanigans."
