« Great location. We enjoyed the kayaks, campfires and having everything we needed to be comfortable. The screened porch was great for a buggy night. The cabin is decorated perfectly and it was nice having a washer and dryer. Recommend nearby hike at Auger Falls and dinner at the Alpine Grill. »

« We had such a great time! The cabin was perfect for our family and in such a wonderful location. I have two 8 yr olds and a 10 yr old and our weekend getaway to this cabin was perfect. So many great kid friendly hiking trails near by, clean swim area and a clean and comfortable cabin to rest, read and play games. Owners are wonderful and we look forward to coming back in the future. »

« Kim and her husband were such wonderful hosts. The cabin was more wonderful than the pictures convey. It was so clean the beds were very comfortable and there was sooo much seating in the living room. If we needed anything Kim and her husband attended to it right away. They blew up the water trampoline for us. We had easy access to their kayaks and life vests. The lake front was beautiful with plenty of chairs. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we will definitely stay again. »

« Amazing inside and out! Plenty of dining locations (small kitchen table, large dining table, covered picnic table near grill and picnic table by water edge) thankful for window A/C units as it was warm at night. Water toys greatly used - kayaks, canoe and paddle boat. We had our own float devices and ladder made it easy to enter the lake. We didn’t go far - short walk to ice cream and short drive to pretty Auger Falls. Look no further for relaxing and comfortable place! »

« I had a wonderful weekend with my wife. The location is truly a highlight - secluded, peaceful and surrounded by nature. The cabin itself was clean, well equipped and overall comfortable. My only critique would be the WiFi which was spotty at times. Still, if you’re looking for a quiet retreat this is a great choice. »

« Awesome place to stay if you want all the comforts of home in a place that makes you remember what old time camp life looked and felt like. I was thrilled with the woodsy camp decor, while amazed to find everything you could want in the kitchen and basically all around the home, that you could need. The lake shore access was very easily navigated, and provided a lovely view, and splash in the lake. Can't wait to return. »

But when I contacted the owner, he was very helpful getting us in early so that we could make it to the wedding on time! The house was spotless and was the perfect overnight stay for my family. « We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It was very close to the Lodge at Harrisburg Lake where our extended family had a reunion. The Cottage gave us a quiet space for our family to stay, while still being close to the action. The lake is quiet and lovely, and just a short walk down the road. The incline to the lake is steep, and too difficult for anyone with ambulatory issues. Not everyone at the reunion could enjoy the lake. That is just something to keep in mind here. « Our stay was a great one! The location was perfect and the lake access, with private beach and kayaks, was a huge bonus for my kids. The cabin was a good size for our family of four. We wanted to be close to Camp of the Woods, but be on our own meal schedule, so we could not have had a better location. Being right next to the Speculator Inn was another bonus. Check-in and out was easy, communication was great with the owner. We're hoping to come back again! »
