A Taste of Beautiful Umbria

For nearty one week, we were emersed in the beautiful hills of Umbria, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and blue skies. The appartment was lovely with all amenties and ample space for everyone to socialise or relax, including an outside terrace where most evenings we had candlelight dinner. The full size swimming pool was excellent, clean and also with a beautful view. Our host Maria Rosa, was charming, sociable and also a professional wine and olive oil producer. One evening we were kindly invited around to her house for dinner and were able to taste her very good red wines, besides an excellent dinner. Highly recommended Jonathan

A peaceful & authentic stay

We had a wonderful time staying at Maria Rosa’s as a family of 6 with 4 kids 11 & younger. It was a great price & had everything we needed for a week long stay. It was a nice place to use as a home base for exploring the area of Umbria (Don’t miss Assisi! It is amazing!) There was a well loved pool table & foosball table that our kids greatly enjoyed. We were able to cook with all the pots & pans we needed & the water was hot for showers. Keep in mind you definitely need a car & this is a well loved & well lived in flat so you get what you pay for which we were grateful for. Our highlight was walking up the road & watching the sun rise! The pool looked like it would be enjoyable if you stayed during the hot season, we missed out on that but stayed cozy with the wall heaters instead. If you are looking for a space to make a home base during your exploration of Umbria & also love the peace & beauty of being nestled in olive groves, this is it! Thanks Maria Rosa!

It was a nice space and the hosts accommodated our late arrival due to distance and traffic. The fridges were not working which was problematic as we were travelling with a baby. The pool was not operational but we did not end up having time to stay anyways. It was also difficult to reach the host (impossible on site as there was no signal) resulting in us having to go find them when we needed to return the key. The space was also quite musty when we arrived and through the night but opening the windows in the am made a drastic change!

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden wieder kommen.Es handelt sich um eine Ferienwohnung, kein Haus.Es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer und ein Badezimmer. Die Beschreibung bei FeWo ist nicht klar geschrieben. Es gibt dann noch zwei zusätzliche Zimmer mit einem Bad auf einer anderen Etage mit einem anderen Eingang. Inventar ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es gibt vor Ort nicht die Möglichkeit zu Essen. Fälschlicherweise könnte man dies aber aufgrund der FeWo Beschreibung und Fotos annehmen.Pool ist sehr groß und sauber.Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit.
