Includes a private pond and access to acres of woods. Located in the center of Ohio's wine country, the Chalet is within 5 miles of lake Erie right behind the Spire Institute. This location also makes a great accommodation for wine excursions, girls weekends, wedding rehearsal dinners, reunions and athletes in training at the Spire. Unique benefits of this home include a private setting, air conditioning, fishing pond, orchard, gazebo, deck, four balconies, two brick fireplaces, game room, jacuzzi tub, large master bedroom with oak flooring, three huge bedrooms upstairs with two sitting areas and pull out couches, three tiled bathrooms, large open sun room, outdoor grill, huge picnic table, and much more. Our Barn & Outdoor Setting might also be available for group weddings, events & reunions. Just ask to book seperately. Our on-site winery is open only on limited days during 2023\. We will be focusing on growing the vineyard and expanding our wine inventory. No soap in bathrooms. Water filter needed replacing as had a strong sulfer smell. Not all ac units had their own remote. One of them leaked inside. A printed manual would have been nice to look at for ideas where to eat or places that delivered. 1 of the 4 bdrms is not private. Have to walk through it to get to another one. Could use a bed, pull out couch, or air mattress in basement for more privacy. For the amount of time we spent there, it was a good value and we would rent again. Only 1 bathroom upstairs for 3 bedrooms. 3rd bathroom in basement area. Basement smelled musty, never used it. Great recommendation for dinner at Alessandro's in Ashtabula. Wonderful little get away spot on a quiet road! Inside is so spacious with TONS of room and space for large groups of people to mingle and have fun! Was perfect for my sisters bachelorette party! Floors were super clean, there were a few stain spots but walking around in white socks for hours and the bottoms were still white, was a huge indicator that this property is well kept up and cleaned properly! The only downside was that the house does have well water, so if you’re not used to that it can be different for you. We wished it wasn't rainy as we wanted to fish in the pond & use the outdoor fire pit, but we were happy to have indoor fireplaces. They even had Christmas decorations & tree put up for us! The listing noted that there was a winery in a barn on the property. The online listing failed to mention that a wine tasting room existed in the house’ s attached garage and that customers at the winery would have access to the garage and the lower level bathroom. The house listed 3 full bathrooms. With COVID-19 we did not feel comfortable with using the lower level bathroom the last day. On Saturday, there was also an incident where a winery customer entered the upstairs where we occupied. Martin was onsite and very apologetic. I highly recommend disclosing the information regarding the tasting room and lower level bathroom when the winery is open. Overall our stay was nice. ##### Wanda G. Few disappointments including gas grill wouldn’t work, charcoal grill couldn’t be used, no hot tub as advertised and poor water pressure in upstairs shower.
