Description
Island Retreat, Close to Everything Galveston has to offer. Walk to Beach, Dining, Shopping, and Entertainment. ‘Blue Wave’ is an elevated 3 bedroom, 2 ½ bath home built in 2019, which includes outdoor entertainment space. Enjoy the best beaches, award winning dining, and the Pleasure Pier, all within walking distance. The homes’ spectacular accommodations are highly appointed while keeping with the island charm of historic Galveston.

The Space

The first-floor master bedroom features a private balcony, modern queen bed with 12 inch mattress, nice linens, 4K Smart TV, walk-in closet, and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower.
A well-equipped half bathroom also exists on the first floor for everyday use by all guests, with convenient access from the spacious kitchen and living area.
The Kitchen is sure to please any chef, with stainless steel appliances, full-size refrigerator with ice maker and cookware for making fabulous meals (food excluded). The kitchen also includes a Cuisinart Coffee Maker, Blender & Toaster.
When not exploring the beaches and what the island has to offer in entertainment (restaurants/bars, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, The Docks, The ‘Strand’), The living space boasts a large, comfortable sectional for entertaining friends or visiting with family, along with a 55” Smart TV.
Second floor guests have abundant accommodation options, including a spacious bedroom in the back, with views of the ocean, a King bed with luxury mattress and linens, a flat screen Smart TV and walk-in closet. Across the hall is a third bedroom that accommodates much more than a typical bunk room. A full over full bunk bed sleeps four, while an additional full trundle bed allows for sleeping arrangement expansion. All beds with high-quality, memory foam mattress. Both upstairs bedrooms have their own entrance to a shared full bathroom suite.
In the entertainment area, below the house on lower level, guests will enjoy a brand new grill with endless gas supply, a 12 ft bar and stools (6) for dining and entertaining, a 6ft custom wooden picnic table that easily seats six, and an outdoor shower for washing the beach sand off. In the enclosed storage area, guests will find everything needed for an enjoyable day at the beach, including wagon, rolling cooler, boogie boards, beach toys and backpack beach chairs for easy transport of beach-towels and goods back and forth.
Parking for multiple vehicles both covered and uncovered, allow you to park and play, with no need to get back in your vehicle unless you want to further explore our wonderful island.

Our weekend stay at this property was excellent. The property was incredibly clean and the kitchen/laundry rooms were well stocked with the essentials. The property has a storage room with some beach essentials. Literally, two walking blocks to the beach and the Galveston amusement pier. Quiet neighborhood while we were there. Master bedroom on the first floor. Some previous reviews noted the bed was low/on the ground but it is not on the floor. It does not have a box spring which does make it seem lower to the ground but the bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. One of the upstairs bedroom had a king size bed that my daughter said was very comfortable. Upstairs also has a jack-jill bathroom that is in between the two bedrooms and functioned just great as such. The living room was comfortable and the kitchen had a large island with comfortable bar stools. Private parking was a plus as opposed to street parking. Nice patio deck in front of the property. The owner was very responsiveness and courteous as we asked for an additional night but was already booked after our reservation. Property photos listed on VRBO are accurate. Will definitely stay at this property again.

Beautiful two story 3 bed 2-1/2 bath house with driveway parking for two vehicles and in a perfect location. The walk to the beach is short enough to come back to the house for a break/lunch and then head back out. The house was very clean and had everything we needed.

I recently stayed in Galveston while my son and friends went on a cruise. This place is literally down the street from the port- very easy to get to. This home is also steps away from Seawall and the beach. The property manager was very helpful and checked in often. There is renovation going on next door. There is a storage room that has everything you would need for a trip to the beach (very convenient). The house has everything you need except the food. The house has room for a large family or friend group. There are a few things that will not allow me to rate the property above 3 stars. The listing pictures are old and misleading. The couch needs to be cleaned. The shower heads in both bathrooms need to be replaced (functional but horrible). The beds are on the floor. Literally on the floor (with the exception of the bunk). Very uncomfortable mattress. If you have knee or back issues, you might fare better sleeping on the filthy couch. That being said, a friend came down from TX and she said it would be perfect for her family - I gave her the listing info. I guess it depends on your level of pickiness- this place has a multitude of positive attributes.

Clean and comfortable house located an easy walking distance to the pier. Also an easy drive to the Strand District for restaurants and shopping. The host Jason was friendly, easy to communicate with and quick to respond. We loved being able to use the beach chairs and beach gear.

Beautiful place, perfect location.

We really enjoyed our stay. House is very clean and comfortable. Super close to the beach, the pier and within walking distance to the Strand. A quick Uber drive to the cruise terminal. Thank you so much for opening your home to us!

Galveston Spring Break Trip

We thought the house, location, amenities, were all great. The house had beach chairs and balls to play on the beach. All of the restaurants were within blocks. We rented a golf cart which was right next the house. Almost immediate replies from the host.This was our first time staying at VRBO and I we are hooked based on this experience.

Beautiful house that’s close to everything

My family enjoyed our stay at this house. Fully furnished kitchen , champagne shower , soft beds , modern decor , comfy couch and so much more. It’s in walking distance to the beach. I loved the covered garage to pull into. The host was very accommodating and check in & out went smooth. A great find !
