When that wasn't possible, we were offered the opportunity to stay in the house for our last night. Of course we were delighted to accept this offer and enjoyed the house to the maximum, especially the beautiful staircase, sun room, piano, comfortable bedrooms and the pool table in the lower level as well as the direct access to the swimming pool! As well, there was no "Welcome Basket" that we are accustom to seeing at other VRBOs that includes such things as preserves, crackers etc. (i.e. small items that are often not brought by travelers). Lastly, there was no Information packet that includes a list of recommended local restaurants and sites to see in the region (i.e. providing local knowledge). Again, this is often provided for guests who are not familiar with the local offerings. These are not significant issues by themselves, but they were noticed by their absence. This feedback was provided during our stay not as a criticism per se but as a means of enhancing the experience for future quests.That aside, everything worked as expected and the host was very responsive to any questions we had, which made the stay enjoyable and relaxing."
