The apartment has painted ceilings and can accommodate up to 6 people, has two bedrooms with double bed and two bathrooms, one with shower. It also has a beautiful kitchen equipped with a microwave, a dining room and a living room with sofa bed. Free Wi-fi. Air conditioning in the bedrooms. Ideal for a family or for a group of friends looking for a cozy apartment. Perfect for those who want a property near all monuments of Florence and, more importantly, also near the central train station to be able to catch a train easily to move through Italy. The apartment is located in the area of San Lorenzo and Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence's historic center. The area of the Duomo and San Lorenzo's establishes the very heart of Florence and takes its name from the famous Brunelleschi dome ending the majestic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Around Duomo's countless historic buildings and beautiful squares such as the San Lorenzo market, the Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Repubblica, famous for its bars, historical patisseries, live music and street performers. The area is also surrounded by the main Florentine monuments or Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, the Bargello Museum and the casa Buonarroti, the birthplace of the famous Michelangelo, without forgetting the Uffizi Gallery and museum dedicated to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore called "Museo dell'Opera del Duomo". This area has much to offer in terms of eateries and boutiques, in fact the biggest names in Italian fashion, Salvatore Ferragamo, Armani, Versace, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Tiffany and co. and many more, can be found along via Tornabuoni, via Calzaiuoli and via del Corso. For those who choose an apartment in this area, it will be easy to find a place to eat thanks to numerous grocery stores, supermarkets, laundry, banks, pharmacies and gift shops and is always well connected with public transport. Parking Florence city centre is a ZTL zone which means a “limited traffic zone” and therefore special rules apply to when you can enter this area. This particular apartment is in fact located within the ZTL zone so this means that if you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around and park, then you will need to pay special attention to the road signs, CCTV cameras and access cameras (they will show either a red/green light) in order to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel within the ZTL zone by car to reach their apartment are advised to contact one of the private garages in the centre (the one nearest the apartment you are staying in) and obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests must specify they need access for the ZTL and the garage will then note the vehicle’s number plate and forward it to the appropriate police headquarters. Il faisait très chaud à Florence, mais l’appartement était parfaitement climatisé. Je confirme que la climatisation est bruyante, mais plus qu’appréciable. La cuisine parfaitement équipée pour ceux qui aiment cuisiner. Le marché San Lorenzo, entouré des marchands de cuir, était tellement proche, que nous y passions tous les jours. Merci à Léonardo pour tous les renseignements donnés avant notre arrivée, notamment concernant le parking. ##### France M. Situé au deuxième étage, sans ascenseur, à l'intérieur de la zone ZTL (réservation d'un garage est conseillé si vous arrivez en voiture) et dans un quartier sympathique. Il y a beaucoup de commerces aux alentours et le marché central de la ville est tout proche (marché ouvert uniquement dans la matinée avec des produits frais et pas mal de stands de restauration à prix très abordables). A bonne distance de marche des principaux sites à visiter. Toutes les pièces de l'appartement bénéficient de la lumière du jour à l'exception du séjour et de la salle de bain. La cuisine est grande et très bien équipée. Bonne literie dans les chambres mais les climatiseurs sont vraiment très bruyants. Les boules quies sont conseillés si vous avez un sommeil léger :-)) La communication avec Leonardo est très facile et l'accueil à l'arrivée assuré par Ilaria, qui est sur place, est agréable. Bref, une très bonne adresse pour visiter Florence (en espérant que les climatiseurs seront remplacés par l'hôte d'ici là ...) ##### My Yen K. The apartment is great, only 8 minutes walk from the train station, lots of great places to eat around, a family bakery right downstairs, 3 minutes walk to Mercado Centrale where you can have delicious food. Pam local supermarket for groceries. Great Trattorias that are not overpriced ( Via Nazionale- right opposite there are 2 reasonably priced restaurants -Matto Matto) . You can easily walk to all the museums , galleries and churches, shopping streets and bridges. The flat is very spacious, great for a family of 4\. fully equipped kitchen. Beds are comfortable, very clean, essentials provided. Great communication and easy check in. But a few things where disappointing. The air conditioner in one room leaked like a sieve. We contacted the owner but nothing was done. Had to use our only towel to soak it up each day. The other air conditioner couldn’t shut off. The listing didn’t tell us it was on the third floor (6 flights) and it was a walk up there was no soap or hand towels or even a dis towel. The neighborhood had an array of amount of drunks at the doorstep each night. The step outside the bath room was not clearly marked and we almost killed ourselves. We had to contact her at the end of the trip to find out if we need to leave money for traveler tax. Had a funky smell in the living room. The apt is very roomy and there was a nice selection of tea and sugar. Beware of the washing machine. It is very difficult to open. The dining room was very nice. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. Almost felt like you were laying on a piece of plywood. Ilaria was informative at the beginning of the trip and gave us extensive direction on how to check in. Overall a nice place but need a little love and care ##### Kathy M. The half bath was a plus when staying with four people. Just know there are about 40 steps up to the apartment which was not a problem for us but may be for some visitors. Also only air conditioning in bedrooms which again was fine for us because our visit was in September and the weather was beautiful. Two big bedrooms plus a sofa bed. Good a/c in bedrooms which helped in 40’ heat. Quite central, maybe a block or two off the nicer streets. Only downside was that communication regarding getting access was really late - like an hour before we were arriving late - and I had to do the chasing.
