"The overall experience was good, however a fire alarm woke us up at 6:30 in the morning. Unfortunately we stayed at the top floor and my partner on a walker would not have been able to negotiate the fire stairs. I had indicated with the reservation that I am traveling with a handicapped person and it looked like we had an handicapped accessible bathroom. Wish we would have been accommodated in a lower floor. Thank god the alarm was a failed one (something burned in the kitchen, we were told)"

"Excellent location in West Hartford - convenient to Elizabeth Park, UHart, and downtown. Parking was easy in the on-site lot. Apartment was very clean. It's great for a single traveler or couple in the bed. The couch/fold-out bed is pretty minimal. Quite firm, it folds out an extension section and isn't a mattress. I wouldn't recommend more than a single youth on it. Only challenges were related to VRBO process itself - it was a little hard to find the door-lock codes in the various mails/places to check, and it takes a while for the security deposit to be refunded. That aside, the host communicated well and helped with a special request. That was very much appreciated, and we're looking ahead to staying again."

"I do not usually leave reviews, but this deserves to be an exception. This was probably the best privately owned property I have ever stayed in. Well stocked--the owner has tried to think of everything and done a good job in doing so. Very good communicator with almost instantaneous replies. And the price is unbeatable. This will be my go to place anytime I am anywhere near Hartford."

"MASSIVE unit, literally twice the size of my apartment (mine is 538 sq ft), if not more.Looked and felt clean. Kitchen had everything I needed. Host was easy to communicate with. Super cute patio outside of the bedroom that adorable squirrels play on sometimes. Plenty of parking, quiet and clean neighborhood. Would definitely recommend if you are going to be in the area.Things to be aware of…Remember that this is on the 3rd floor and not only do you need to get up the stairs, but so does your luggage (I forgot about the luggage part, that’s why I’m calling it out here). If you have hair that is difficult to get/stay wet, be aware that you may want to use the kitchen sink to wash your hair due to lower water pressure in the shower."

"The host was very communicative and nice. The location is not what we were expecting and is not in a very safe area. We only stayed for the 1st of 4 nights because we felt unsafe in the neighborhood. Also couldn’t sleep because people were screaming at each other in the streets all night long. The next morning I stayed inside for a while instead of going to get breakfast because two guys were fighting right outside the front stoop which was followed by two more boisterous altercations across the street. It really is not a safe neighborhood, even though the place itself was decently clean and decorated."
