« The Firefly Cottage was very well appointed with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We had plenty of dishes, pots/pans, glasses, eating and cooking utensils. The beds were comfortable and lots of clean towels in kitchen and bath; plenty of TP, kleenex, salt and pepper, and a few other kitchen items to use. There were 3 TV's! We did have difficulty getting the sound loud enough on the TV, couldn't figure it out. We could have called owner and I'm sure they would have helped...

« We could not have asked for a better place, very comfortable, spacious, a very welcoming host (even invited us to dinner at his son’s restaurant), but the best part was an amazing property. If you love old farm houses this as good as it gets!We did the Driftless 100 in Elkader and stayed 2 nights maximizing everything from the modern kitchen to the comfy living room & beds to a perfectly placed fire pit to watch the sunset and sip bourbon after the race. »

« I coach a 13U, here for the weekend. You can see FOD from the home, half a mile away. We loved the place for informal little stops by other parents and players between games and obligations. Tons of lawn space to play catch or whiffle, grass was perfect. Used the grill and deck for a cookout, excellent. « The property was fantastic, its not on the water but the Mississippi is 5 blocks away. There is a small fire pit and a grill in the backyard. The backyard is a little underwhelming but it was dark and our group enjoyed the fire.We had multiple groups come through and spend the night. There were plenty of sheets and blankets to do a full bed change for each group. We had to use our own Disney sign in but there was a smart tv in the living room and every bedroom. »
