A couple of previous reviews had commented upon general cleanliness and we found a child’s toy under the dining table when we got there and an odd sock behind the sofa, suggesting the cleaning wasn’t particularly thorough. « We had a fantastic stay at the Cabin, the log fire is a awesome touch. The cabin was extremely clean and cosy, light dimmers ad a really nice touch too. We was met with a complimentary bottle for valentines day which we thought was a lovely. « We thought Goldings was a lovely cottage in a lovely location but not without its faults, mainly the lighting which was awful, gloomy and only one light for a double bed, which was ridiculously bright ! Would be nice to provide a few coat hangers. We had a dog with us who we kept on a lead but the cottage to our left had a dog which they let wander over to grass in front of ours to do its business, twice this happened in two days,I got the feeling they only cleared it because they saw us, so I...

« I was extremely disappointed with my stay. The room had a very strong, unpleasant smell and the bedding felt stale and musty. I had to keep the window open all day and night just to make the room bearable, which was far from ideal on a cold and wet February weekend. Cleanliness was also a major issue. « We had a wonderful four-night stay at The Granary. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need. The bed was so comfortable and we slept very well. « Lovely cosy hut was great for the weekend. All the added little touches I the kitchen area and fridge was nice. The shower was powerful enough for us to have a good shower and the hot tub was great to relax and look across the fields. The log burner was great and heated the hut up nicely. We booked a table for evening meal at the on site restaurant for the Friday and we both really enjoyed it also a great choice of beer and spirits i myself am a fan off Belgium beer and they didn't...

« Clean and warm cottage in the center of town, very quirky but a nice environment, it is on one of the few roads running through Rye so does suffer from some traffic noise although not too intrusive. Everything was in order on our arrival so all in all a nice place to stay. »

" nous tenons à remercier l'équipe pour son accueil. Cependant, plusieurs éléments nous ont profondément inquiétés et nous ont conduits à prendre la difficile décision de ne pas passer la nuit dans cet hôtel. À notre arrivée, l'ambiance était glauque et l'entrée de l'hôtel dégageait une odeur très désagréable, semblant provenir d'un chien et d'urine. En sortant pour dîner, une jeune femme nous a mis en garde de manière vague, sans fournir d'informations supplémentaires sur d'éventuels rôdeurs. Par la suite, un voisin a évoqué un incident grave, parlant de personnes buvant de l'alcool et mentionnant un viol sans plus de détails. Cela a été particulièrement troublant pour nous, surtout avec notre fille de 7 ans. La sécurité et le bien-être de notre famille sont notre priorité absolue. Dans ces circonstances, nous avons jugé nécessaire de réserver une chambre dans un autre hotel pour la nuit, entraînant un coût imprévu de 119 pounds. "

"Felt like being part of a cruise for some reason, the entertainment, size of the hotel, gave that ambiance. The rooms need to be refreshed (the bathroom was old) but all in all, we still had a good time in Folkestone so I'd still give it a 7 if I had to rate the experience."
