Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State, Park. A/C, 1 full bath and a 1/2 bath. Bedroom w/ king, bedroom w/ queen & twin. Living room has two full hide a bed couches, TV/DVD, Internet/wifi. Full kitchen and dining room. Small garage for motorcycles, bicycles, stroller, etc. Nice yard with many mature trees. Patio & gas grill. City playground a block away.

We had a wonderful stay. We found the master bed to be very comfortable. The home was clean. The interior is mostly wood. It makes it feel like a cabin, but it tends to creak. We saw deer in the yard daily. It was walkable to town. It had plenty of space for my family.

We had a great time at Custer staying here. The place was just as expected, checking in went great, and we greatly appreciated the simplistic cleaning/checking out procedure. The air hockey and foosball table was great for the kids. We also enjoyed seeing deer and turkey everyday around the property! We would definitely have no reservations about staying here again. Outstanding and perfect retreat for our Sturgis trip. Great location in Custer...Out of the main hustle of the rally but still in a nice populated town. They property is well maintained, clean and laid back. Thank you for an awesome stay. Would re-book without hesitation.

The location is very convenient for us because it is near the tourist attractions we wanted to go. Very affordable, the house was able to accomodate us all (6) no need for separate booking. Clean and cozy, it has a kitchen and grill.

Cozy and Convenient

House was great for our family of 4, had everything we needed including basic kitchen stuff so we could eat in a meal or two each day. Very easy walk to "downtown" Custer, nice to do that instead of driving, that way we felt a little less guilty about ice cream or pie after dinner I would caution, the stairs are rather "short" so we just had to be careful going downstairs as our feet would overhang, and I would have liked some outdoor furniture to enjoy the little front yard in the morning or evening. But, those are very minor quibbles.Overall, would definitely stay again, great place and host was easy to work with. And one more thing, we had a doe and some fawns wandering outside the window occasionally, which was awesome!

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time while we were there. The home was just what we expected. Very clean, comfortable and homey. The kids really enjoyed the games in the garage. Added bonus: all the deer and turkeys roaming the yard. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back again.

Overall nice stay, older style of home which isn’t a negative just different. Yard was a little deceiving from pictures to actual, but we were able to be out in it much due to the weather. Very close to downtown (gas, coffee, markets).

South Dakota Adventure

My husband and I took this trip to explore the southwest region of SD. The house was the perfect base for our day trips. It was convenient to all of the national parks and monuments that we wanted to visit and only two blocks off the main drag in Custer where the grocery stores and restaurant are located. If you are looking to explore this are as we were, this VRBO is perfect!!

Cozy and Comfy

Fantastic location. Feels secluded but within walking distance to everything. Very cozy feel, clean, well maintained, and tastefully decorated. Lots of room to spread out. Nice extra touches. For example, the king bed has the most plush mattress plus a foam topper. One thing of note, there is no hot tub on this property. I thought I was going crazy because we specifically booked this home because we thought it had a hot tub. We in no way think the owners are at fault. Seeing that a previous reviewer thought the same thing leads us to believe there was a glitch at one point in the VRBO filter. There is also no DVD player and when I just looked for the property again it still lists that is has “TV/DVD” in the description. Didn’t matter to us as we never even turned on the tv, but thought it is worth mentioning to others. Also, probably just user error but we could not figure out how to make pans sit flat on the stove burners. We would gladly stay here again.
