"Overall nice place to stay, great location in El Centro. The restaurant is mediocre and would recommend exploring and eating elsewhere. The mattress was on the firm(hard) side and could use an upgrade. Overall, i would stay here again and would recommd to family and friends."

"This resort is a total gem. Beautiful Ocean Front view, hardworking and friendly staff from housekeeping, dining, pool side and front desk. It was our first time to stay at Melia for a family vacation (there were 23 of us in total from 3 years old to 83 years of age, and this place never disappoint! We would like to give a shout out and express my gratitude to Hector from guest services for his exceptional customer service. He was so accommodating, friendly and very respectful. We had a bit of issue in our room when we checked in however, Hector looked after it within minutes. The food at the buffet was very good as they have a huge variety everyday. The one that stood out was our sunset dinner at the Fish House on our last day since they were able to accommodate 23 people. The food was topnotch, the view was amazing and our servers were excellent. Melia totally exceeded our expectations. It was truly a memorable family vacation. We are already planning to go back, hopefully, by next year!"

"The newly renovated Riu was a great plus with the rooms being new and modern plus very comfortable too. Bed was great and we had a connecting room with lots of property and a pretty good view. The food in the buffet was good. Out of all the 5 restaurants the steakhouse stood out the best while the others were OK. The Candy Ice Cream Shop was also a great stop each time you wanted some sweet stuff and the pool area snack bar was also pretty good and crowded. Staff at the buffet area and restaurants were also very friendly and attentive. Pools were nice but a little dirty looking probably due to the crowd and also the sea sand being brought in. "

"the only thing I wasn't impressed with was the variety of food. The restaurants requiring reservations offering Mexican, Asian, and Italian, were average at best. Did not get the chance to try the steak restaurant."
