« This is our 3rd stay on the property and 2nd stay in the farmhouse. My daughter lives in Rutherfordton so we spent most of our time with her to include visiting Biltmore, which took all of Sunday. We stayed from Friday evening to Sunday morning. No time to explore as we have done in the past. »

« My husband and I loved our three night getaway from the city .The older farmhouse had everything we needed, but the highlight was the animals. We loved sitting on the front porch and watching the horses and the donkey and the goats were very entertaining as well. There were a couple of cats that hung around and were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Unfortunately, for us, it rained every day And the sun didn’t shine at all. Other than that, we had a perfect getaway. »

« This is not a place to stay, this is an experience, and a most amazing one at that! We pulled up to the property you could audibly hear all of our jaws collectively drop. The front porch, the walkways, the screened entrance on the side...just wow! You enter this home and time warped back to the late 1800's. The history inside was amazing. « Cute cabin in the heart of the mountains. If you're looking to get away from it all, this is it. Set up with mostly everything you need. Be cautious there isn't a lot close by so have what you need ahead of time. About a 30 minute drive to gas stations, places to eat. Walmart was 45 minutes for groceries. Nice set up for kiddos in second bedroom. Cell service isn't great driving through the area but WiFi was good at the property. Not a lot of marked areas to explore but Google helped us a long....

« I can not give this property better ratings. The owners were lovely. The house was so clean and just so cute. It was a slice of heaven. The kids really enjoyed fishing off the beautiful dock and the little pond. The hot tub was wonderful. There are hiking trails in the back of the house to explore. The location is amazing - 10 minutes to town and approx. 40 minutes to Asheville. We were very busy seeing friends and family in the area but next time we will come and just stay put and enjoy the...
