They made us feel welcome and it was nice to talk with another couple as well travelled as us. Small but comfortable room, the bed was great! Old house so very creaky and uneven floor but that kind of added to the charm. The garden is lovely with sitting areas and the breakfast room led straight out there. Situated ideally for Chesterfield town and the Peak District. Absolutely fantastic stay. The welcome was warm and friendly. We were treated as old friends even though we had never met before. Facilities and food were all excellent. Excellent location and amenities! We have limited experience with B&Bs because much of our travel is corporate travel and hotels are the standard. Our experience here was as good or better than many hotels. The proprietors are friendly, knowledgable and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, and the building was just what we had hoped for: hundreds of years old but with modern conveniences. We would happily stay again.
