« This cabin is lovely, cozy and very well appointed. The back deck and early spring views of the Maury river were beautiful and relaxing too. Great location close to Lexington but still felt like a real escape. Our host was accessible, friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely be coming back! »

« We had a lovely stay at the “Writer’s Cabin!” It is small but so cozy and perfect for two. We had rain at first but when the skies cleared we went for a walk and explored the Chessie Trail. A lovely walk along the river. Hosts are very gracious. Easy check in and check out. »

« I traveled with my husband and 4 kids (11-18). The house was clean and everyone had their own bed We had everything we needed during our stay. The location was great to go in several directions for different activities. The D-Day Memorial is a must-see in Bedford. We would stay here again if we come back to the area. »

« Myself, along with my son and daughter-in-law, were in VA for a family wedding. The initial drive to the property off the main road seemed a never-ending series of hills, twists and turns, especially for folks from the city. But, in fact, the trip in/out was only about five minutes. The property itself was great. A two bedroom, one bath on the lower level of a lovely private home. « Wow, what a hidden gem!! It's a great location with many trees and an awesome place to unwind. The house is super clean and spacious. So easy to hang out in the kitchen that flows right into the family room. The outside 2nd floor large balcony was a great space to end the night. « Squirrel's Nest is an absolutely charming cottage in a quaint town. Great location & perfect for our needs. We only stayed a weekend, to attend the Sounds of the Mountains storytelling festival at nearby Camp Bethel. We hope to go back when we can stay longer, to see more of the town & surrounding area. »
