![Interior. Note the painted chancel. The church was built around 1434, with restoration in the 1870s. It consists of a nave with aisles, western tower, chancel, and north porch. Some parts of the demolished Bardney abbey were used in the church. The tower dates from the late 15th century and has battlements topped with eight pinnacles. It has six bells. The north aisle of 5 bays is from the mid-to late 15th century, the south aisle is of the same date. The piers are octagonal. There is a 17th-century north porch with benches. The chancel is made of brick; Some say the same bricks used to build Tattershall Castle. Inside are murals of 1935 by A. Willets depicting Saints, and there are carved angels in the roof timbers. There is a 19th-century reredos and a 15th century piscina in the south wall. There is also a 14th century figure originally from Bardney Abbey. At the west end of the nave is an incised slab to Abbot Richard Horncastle, died 1508, and three painted wooden panels recording charitable donations. The font and choir stalls are 20th century. There are several architectural fragments from Bardney Abbey on display. The two manual organ is by Cousans. Restoration work was carried out in the 1870s at a cost of some £2500, during which the west end of the north aisle was formed into a baptistery. « The property was clean and tidy and couldn't be faulted. The problem was with their check in procedure. Phone a number which took nearly 20 minutes to get answered requiring repeated redialling. After getting the key to the room, it turned out the wrong key had been put in the keysafe box.....so... another phone call to their help desk, this time taking 25 minutes to eventually get answered. Once that was finally sorted out, all in all over 45 minutes, i ended up being late for my appointment...

« Will stay here again. No parking outside the property, but there is a car park which is to pay for. Everything you need in the apartment. Only downside was that there was a rancid smell coming from the kitchen , which made you feel sick. So sprayed perfume all over it. Wasn't enough forks to feed the three of us. Will be back again »

« Very easy to check in and out, everything looked just like the pictures, cafe next door and a bar/restaurant a few doors down. There was only 2 chairs around the breakfast bar but 4 place mats so I’m not sure how a family of 4 like us where meant to eat together There was also no lamp in the downstairs bedroom which isn’t a massive deal but it would have been nice to have some form of light in the evening/night without having the big light on The tv was oddly placed in the living...
