This meant that despite paying through the expedia website the new management had no record of my payment and i had to pay the daily rate to stay at the hotel in addition to the rate i had already paid. Expedia have so far not issued me a refund despite my request. I had to use the lobby anytime i wanted to use the internet as my room was an absolute dead zone - and i was not the only one. My biggest issue was the mosquitoes in my room - especially the bathroom. I never once opened my window, but my room was just a swarm. This is not a new issue, either, as you could find dead ones smashed all over the walls in there. Lowest price I found in the area so I can't complain but did find much nicer budget hotels in the area priced fractionally higher. Far from the main road and SkyTrain. A good 15min walk. There's free instant coffee in the lobby and a microwave to use. Very clean, comfortable room with a big window at the end of Soi 18 (a small road) off the Sukhumvit (one of the main thoroughfares in Bangkok). Very close to transportation (the Sky Train), and plenty of international bars. It's a nice place to get your feet wet in Bangkok, especially if you don't care for the backpacker scene at Khao San Road (which I don't).
