Love Ilam hall park. We just drove into Ashbourne for supplies. Quiet and relaxing. Our little dog also loved the garden and playing with children. Couple of evenings spent in nearby pubs for dinner but not walking distance. Only gripe is the beds are too hard. Grandson slept on sofa after 1st night. You do need to bring or buy simple necessities such as extra loo rolls and bin liners if staying longer than a few days. Ilam Park nearby, is a gem, and Dovedale is just 5 minutes by car.
