"We booked this very last minute because we decided at the last minute to visit Cinque Terre so I didn’t read too much about what it looked like. 1. The rooms are set away from the reception area and you have to go down gravel steps. I’m pretty young and ok with it, but my 66-year-old mom struggled. So be prepared for that. "This is a wonderful apartment! I simply can not say enough kind words about the hosts. Davide communicated so well before our stay- suggesting restaurants and things to do, options for getting to the home, and even offered assistance with our bags and taxis! We did the sunset cruise of the towns with Fish & Chill that Davide recommended and it was fabulous! The apartment is clean, cute and worked wonderfully for us. It is located right near many restaurants, the beach and train station. If there were more stars I would rate this higher! "

"This is a beautiful former monastery high up above Monterosso. You need to contact the hotel in advance to make a shuttle reservation and they will pick you up near the train station. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar. Most of the other guests were hikers from the trail between towns. We sat outside at sunset with a glass of wine, admiring the beautiful view. While there’s no Wi-Fi or AC in the rooms in the main building, it was very comfortable, clean and quiet. There were large windows we opened to let in the breeze. We stayed with our college age kids who loved the location."
