The view from our room was incredible! Jimmy was very helpful in navigating the stairs with our mountains of stuff. The room was comfortable and clean however, whatever cleaning agent they use smells horrific. The only other complaint was that the hot water was fairly iffy, but I understand it’s an older building and that may happen. Overall, I would definitely return as we enjoyed our stay immensely. Being able to walk downtown and various dining options and the beach all in one was great!

Quaint inn with an excellent location, steps away from the beach. The room was comfortable and a generous size and the restaurant below was great. However, the cleanliness could have been improved. Upon checking in, the floor was sandy, there was a stain on the bedding, and we had many ants/spiders in the room throughout our stay.

Charm, Location, Clean!

Check in was a little confusing but everyone was so nice! (We had to find the host at the restaurant). That said, the room was cozy, comfortable and SPOTLESS clean! This is an older building with New England charm that is beautifully clean and lovely. Location cannot be better, as it’s right in the commercial center of York. We ate at the restaurant twice and everyone was lovely. Will absolutely recommend this Inn!

Excellent location. Room was clean. Parking was tricky - tiny lot behind hotel/restaurant shared with staff. Repeatedly trapped in space, had to call front desk to move cars around. Restaurant/bar open late. Dance club and karaoke— which is amazing for adults, but not for staying there with kids. Would def return as the location was great for the beach and downtown.

This place is all about location. It's directly across the street from Short Sands Beach. They have dining and a couple floors with full bars. Sometimes there's a few minute wait because they're busy but I got a table immediately. It can get loud but laid back vibe which is cool with me. Again though, the location sells it. Definitely recommend.

The sunset suite was wonderful. Great location and loved the balcony’s off the living room and bedroom. My two issues were how limited and confusing parking was. Nothing to put on your car and you’re crammed into this small lot making you scared to leave the spot if you had to. Also water pressure and temperature was terrible in the shower. The music from the bar down below is quite loud however I knew that going into making my reservation. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again. Wish I had discovered this place years ago rather than staying at other properties nearby

Excellent emplacement! Nous avons été agréablement surpris de la chambre: très spacieuse et lumineuse avec 3 grandes fenêtres. Nous étions 2 adultes et 3 enfants et nous n'étions nullement à l'étroit. Petit bémol pour le bruit provenant du bar tard en soirée par contre.

Bel emplacement

L'hôtel est situé directement en face de la plage. Il y a un parc pour enfant également à proximité avec basketball. Très grand loft qui peut accueillir jusqu'à 8 personnes avec cuisine complète. Cependant, propreté laisse à désirer: plancher sale, table de cuisine graisseuse et frigo qui n'avait pas été lavé depuis longtemps. Pas de hotte au dessus du poêle. Draps et serviettes propres. Le village est short sands beach est joli et il est agréable de s'y promener.

My 19-year-old son and I recently stayed at Inn on the Blues for a mother-son weekend in York Beach, and overall we were very happy with our stay. The location is fantastic, right across the street from the beach and just steps from the shops and restaurants at Short Sands. We have visited York many times, so we didn't need much assistance, but check-in was easy. It was completed at the hostess stand, and a staff member escorted us to our room, Sunrise #2. This property is more of an inn than a traditional hotel, offering a smaller, more personal experience. Parking was available in a small lot behind the building, and we had no trouble finding a space. The rear exterior could use some updating, but it did not affect our stay. Our room was located above the restaurant. There was music in the evenings, which didn't bother either of us, but travelers who are sensitive to noise may want to keep that in mind. Our room was clean and modern, with ac, and the shower had plenty of hot water. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The location and comfortable accommodations made it a great home base for a York Beach getaway.

We had the best time at Inn on the blues! The owners are wonderful! Everyone in town loves them. It is true that if you want to go to sleep before midnight on weekends, this may not be the place for you, but we loved everything about this place and will be back!

It was okay

Overall the Inn was good, but there were a few things we didn't love. The restaurant under the Inn was closed for the duration of our stay which we liked because there was no bar noise, but it made it difficult to find anyone to help us. There was one kid working at the Inn who we saw occasionally in the hallway and he always asked if we needed anything. He was great, but scarcely around. It took me a while to even find where to enter the Inn or know where to park when we arrived. The overall cleanliness of the room wasn't great. Our feet were black after walking around the room for a period of time and the inner shower curtain was covered in mildew. The bed linens were clean and the bed was comfy. One door out to the balcony was blocked by extra restaurant chairs and the other was very difficult to open and close. The location was perfect in reference to the beach, restaurants and shops and the room decor was nice.

We booked two rooms and canceled one of them early on by calling the inn. When we arrived they told us that we never canceled the second room and therefore we were charged for it. We were offered a free night stay for another time However they have a two night minimum. So we would still be out money. Freezer was filled with snow and we reported it immediately and we were told that the refrigerator would be changed out. The snow was cleaned out of the freezer but they didn’t change out the refrigerator. Had a cold shower the first morning I was there. When we checked in we were showed our room and given a key But that was it there was no information on how to contact anyone if something went wrong and we never saw anyone when we checked out I had to go searching for the number to find that out what to do.
