The home offers guests 3500 sq ft with a traditional Adirondack style, with many rustic elements incorporated into a contemporary design. These include features such as an open floor plan with 30 foot cathedral ceilings in the living room and in-floor radiant heating, wood burning fireplace, granite counter tops, hardwood flooring, and log railings. The Space: The main floor will offer ample space with a living room, dining room, kitchen and a 2 bedrooms. The 2nd floor offers a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The basement provides a 4th bedroom with a bunk bed and queen bed and an additional full bathroom. Enjoy a full size billiards table, ping pong table along with a Microsoft Xbox for entertainment. The backyard offers a 6 person hot tub along with a fire pit and separate seating area. Guest Access: The entire home and the property with 2 exclusions: 1\. The mechanical room located in the basement by the Adirondack table. The door is locked and monitored by a security camera from the inside of the mechanical room. This is to ensure that guests do not tamper with the hot water tank, boiler, electric system, and supplies used by the cleaning agency. Any unlawful entry into this room will automatically revoke your stay at the property. 2\. There is 1 closet located between the main floor bathroom and the 2nd bedroom that is locked for use by the cleaning agency. The Neighborhood: Wilmington is home to the highest peak slope that you can ski on in the North East. It is also the 5th highest mountain in NY State standing at 4,865 ft above sea level. There are over 46 mountains that have an elevation above 4000 ft. for those who have a passion for hiking. The beauty of the Adirondacks offers year round outdoor adventures for those who love to cycle, hike, fish, and ski. The Au Sable National Scenic River stretches 23-miles offering brown, rainbow, and brook trout. There are numerous nearby lakes and rivers (such as Saranac river and Taylor Pond) that offer landlocked salmon, lake trout, splake, bass, pike, walleye, perch, and sunfish. Lake Placid is our neighboring town that is home to the Olympic center and many local restaurants along with 2 lakes that offer motorized and non motorized sports during the summer. Other Things to Note: 1\. Price advertised per night allows up to 12 guests. Each additional guest will be charged at $50 per night per guest. 2\. Holiday weeks require minimum of a 6 night stay and Summer weeks require a minimum of a 5 night stay. 3\. Any unauthorized parties that may cause damage to the property or interruption to neighbors caused by noise pollution will incur additional fees deducted from the security deposit. 4\. Any odor inside the home (including the garage) of smoking cessation products such as nicotine, vape, THC, Marijuana will incur additional fees deducted from the security deposit. 5\. A $500 refundable security deposit must be collected within 72 hours of the booking. 6\. Do not move any furniture inside the home. 7\. Do no remove or take any of the items located inside the home. The home is inspected after each use. A replacement fee and labor charges will be assessed towards missing items and will be deducted from your security deposit. My only negatives would be the grill needs to be deep scrubbed/grates replaced because its definitely seen its fair share of usage and making sure batteries to remotes are changed from time to time- minor fixes. The hot tub was a huge hit and was very accessible from the main living area.The flume and the flume trails were gorgeous and just a short walk from the house.A mile drive away and we were at Whiteface Ski Mountain and took the short trail into Stagbrook Falls.We would all stay here again in a heartbeat. This house is just outside of Wilmington, some great hiking and swimming! One comment, knives are NOT sharp ;) though are advertised as so. We stayed with our two young children and the property was perfect. Great location close to everything the high-peaks has to offer. Adult friends joined together at this fabulous ski lodge less than 5 minutes from Whiteface to enjoy the total solar eclipse in April 2024\. The house is well stocked with clearly marked features, hot tub in excellent working order, great game room downstairs, and comfortable beds. Would stay again! ##### Jason M. The cottage is beautiful and large enough to accommodate 10 people. 14 would be a bit crowded. The location couldn’t have been better. You can see the slopes from the cottage and it’s a 4 minutes drive to the ski hill. The property is located in a secluded area in the woods which makes it very charming. Everything was perfect except the kitchen and floors were not very clean. Upon our arrival we had to clean kitchen cabinets, the fridge, floors, and carpets. At least, bathrooms were clean. The water in the hot tub was also dirty even if the water was changed before our arrival. With additionally cleaning (by us), we were able to use it in our 3rd night. Bring your own face clothes, dish clothes and towels for the hot tub. There is a washing machine, but it has a strong musty smell; we didn’t use it. There is a nice fireplace. Bring wood if you wish to have a fire. Game room was fun. Bring your own Ping Pong balls; the ones provided are too soft/cheap. Overall a great place, except don’t expect a 9.8/10 for cleanliness! ##### Marika P. Communication with Gary was top notch! The home was spacious and airy with lovely Adirondack themed decor. Gorgeous views from every window! It had superb mattresses, pillows, linens and blankets!!! All light switches labeled-AMAZING! Heated garage with Bootwarmers-Need I say more!!!!! Overall we were THRILLED there were a few things that would have made it a five star stay… Very clean both inside and out but the washing machine had mold in the door and the detergent dispenser. Probably a result of people leaving the door closed (front loader machines need to remain open and be cleaned quite frequently). As a result our clothes smelled a bit moldy but we just rewashed when we got home. Kitchen was very well stocked except was missing sponges, dish towels, and measuring spoons. Also just one roll of paper towels. The bathrooms were super clean and spacious with TONS of linens, however only one extra roll of toilet paper. Incredible fireplace but no firewood. We bought all the missing items at Hannaford-NO BIG! One other suggestion that would make it top notch is to add a few hooks or a coat rack outside near the hot tub for towels. None of these cons are a reason not to rent this place. IT IS AWESOME and we cannot wait to go back.
