Fire pit out back was great for roasting marshmallows and walk by the stream was an adventure. Water , however, had a strong metallic smell and taste---we were very concerned about that. Vacasa absolutely needs to address that. The exterior could have been better maintained--cushions needed dusting and wiping, driveway was overgrown in parts. Check-in and check-out were super simple, and everything went smoothly. The cabin is nestled in a beautiful, secluded spot surrounded by trees, with a lovely path and little bridge that leads to a small beach on the riverfront—complete with two chairs to relax and take it all in.The cabin was very clean and had a well-stocked kitchen, which made it easy to cook meals during my stay. I’d recommend bringing your own coffee grounds and filters—there were just enough filters left for me to use, which was a lucky bonus! The WiFi and TV worked just fine for what I needed.I was attending a 3-day Animal Reiki class just across the highway (about 1/4 mile away) at the Wildwood Recreation Center. It’s an absolutely beautiful park with forested trails, peaceful picnic areas, and a swimming spot on the Salmon River.Overall, this place was a peaceful retreat and had everything I needed.
