Not only is the location outstanding, but the staff were the most capable and welcoming i encountered in the DC area. It is an easy walk to some very good bakeries and restsurants as well. Close to the Potomac and to Georgetown shopping.

I had my worst stay in DC because of this hotel. The room temp cannot be regulated by the guest. It was 32 degrees outside and I had my window wide open in April. The room was 79 degrees at night. The hotel brought in a portable A/C unit at 12:30am. It was very loud and had to be placed in the window. Curtains could not close, I was awaken by the bright sun at sunrise. The AC Unit was placed next to my suitcase and shoes. There was no drip pan to catch the water so it collected in my shoes. Ruined the shoes, the only shoes to wear to my important meeting at the WHITE HOUSE! The GM contacted me while I was at the meeting, knowing I would not be available to talk. 3 days later, I have yet to hear from the GM Anton Mueller. I was told I would receive a refund, and have yet to see it.

We came specifically for this hotel, as we had been before. The management has changed and it shows. Our sink was clogged and never fixed after asking. We had a portable cooler in the room with a duct that ran out the window… we could never get it to stay attached so there was just this 4” opening in the window. The day staff was friendly and helpful but the rest never even engaged. We were welcomed with a hello… nothing more. That visit several years ago was a treat, this time it was just a regular hotel.. nothing upscale or inviting.

There were only two rooms with soaking tubs. I asked for a blanked and got a duvet cover. The heating system is very dry and the rooms could benefit from a humidifier. Great roofdeck and very friendly front desk.

Good afternoon, We sincerely regret not living up to your expectations, but rest assured that we will be making improvements to our property in the coming months.Since we are a historic property in Georgetown, we do not currently have the heat switched over to air conditioning in the building yet due to the tricky weather. However, we do provide guests who are uncomfortable with the heat cooling systems.

Room was oddly dirty, with construction debris and trash in the patio area. Large tip for housecleaning and a note asking for clean up did not yield desired results, although the tip was promptly collected. No wi-fi was available in my room. Pick up of trash and recycling does not appear to be part of housecleaning, as none were picked up in my room during a three night stay. A water leak from the room above and subsequent protracted clean-up were an unpleasant surprise, with no alternate room or at least a discount offered by the management. I stopped by the rooftop bar to drown my hotel sorrows in a pint of beer, only to find out that there is no draft beer available. Not sure what to make of this place...

The location of this hotel is the best that it has to offer. Easy access to shopoing, restaurants and transportation in historic Georgetown. The hotel room was just ok. Several cob webs in the room and no working AC. A portable unit was fitted in the room. Awefully loud and had a hard time keeping the room cold enough. Weather during our visit was mild ( mid 70's) would hate to be there in the summer. Hard to sleep well with the noisy machine going non stop. Housekeeping was disappointing. They didnt come to the room the last 2 days we were there. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Love early check in. Junior suite was large and nice. Small refrigerator with water and soda were welcoming. Doormen were friendly. Phone in the room was only for decoration and not working. Overall, will stay again when visiting this are. Georgetown is the best place to stay!
