Took a chance and booked a room.(I had stayed here when it was an Econolodge several years ago and was not impressed!) The conversion to Motel 6 was impressive. "Beautiful upscale hotel located in historic buildings. The renovations are first class with great attention to luxury and provision for all needs. Everything about this property is of the highest quality including the staff. Each room is different and beautifully appointed with high quality furnishings, linens, towels and products. We had drinks and dinner in the casual restaurant, and made to order breakfast - all were excellent and service was attentive without being intrusive. We HIGHLY recommend The Georges - well worth their usual rates and a real treat if you can get a special rate. We will be back!"
